Salem Is Never Dull That’s for Sure
The Horton Town Square is the place to be for Salem in honor of Juneteenth, which also happens to be Paulina (Jackée Harry) and Abe’s (James Reynolds) anniversary. Several of the sneak-peek photos focus on scenes from the celebration, including one where Paulina encounters Abe, Lexie (Nikki Crawford), and Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews).
Another intriguing photo features Paulina having an intense conversation with Theo as she puts her hand out like she’s telling him to stop or something. Eli (Lamon Archey) is all smiles as he reunites with Abe. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to last long, because a different picture of them has Abe looking very sternly at his son-in-law with Lexie by his side.
There’s also an awkward run-in between Paulina, Lexie, Abe, Lani (Sal Stowers), and Eli in a couple of other pictures. Another sneak peek shows somber-looking Eli and Lani standing behind an upset Paulina, who’s looking off into the distance.

Abe and Lexie have some one-on-one time as they smile and walk, their arms linked, in the square. In a different photo, though, Lexie has her arms crossed while talking to Abe, indicating she is upset. It’s a safe bet that Juneteenth, being Abe and Paulina’s anniversary, hits a nerve for her.
Meanwhile, EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) drops by Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel’s (Raven Bownes) for a visit—no doubt to check on Chanel following her treatment. EJ brings flowers, but the smile on his face when he arrives doesn’t last long.
Johnny and EJ have a serious talk in one of the sneak peek photos. EJ comforts his son with a hug in a different one and it’s sweet. Alone, Johnny can be seen peering inside Trey’s crib.
Other photos reveal that Lani pops into the DiMera Mansion to catch up with her friend Kristen (Stacy Haiduk). The two friends share a touching moment as Lani appears to be comforting Lani by holding her hands.
EJ ends up in the middle of their visit at some point. There’s a photo of three of them, as well as one with EJ talking to Lani alone. A different photo shows EJ and Kristen facing off yet again, and if looks could kill, these two would be dead.
The teens continue to enjoy their time at the Horton cabin. Holly (Ashley Puzemis) and Tate (Leo Howard) sneak in a kiss while Ari (Vico Escorcia) and Aaron (Louis Tomeo) are out for a swim. They also have a talk that doesn’t leave Holly happy.
Later, the foursome is all outside at night, in a campfire-like setting. Tate and Holly seem to be listening to something in one photo. Another picture shows Ari with Aaron, who looks as though he’s telling a ghost story.
Holly ends up in crisis on the trip. One photo features Holly passed out as Tate holds her, as Aaron tries to help, and Ari looks on in horror.
