Hits and Misses Breakdown: October 19-23, 2026
Beyond the Gates
HIT: Timon Kyle Durrett has us feeling sorry for Bill. We have always known Bill was a terrible husband. This week, we were given yet another example of how awful he was to Dani (Karla Mosley) back in the day. He slept with her first modeling agent! And what did we do when we saw him left out of the celebratory family group hugs after Dani’s interview? We felt bad for big, bad Bill Hamilton. And that’s all thanks to Timon Kyle Durrett’s performances day in and day out. We know better, but we couldn’t help ourselves.
MISS: Dani’s smart and savvy — but she’s not on to Heather at all. Dani’s interview was positive and enlightening. It was great to see her have her moment to shine. The next day, however, she connected with Heather (Ashley Jones), who is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Dani was on to Hayley (Marquita Goings) from the get-go. Why is she so oblivious to Heather?. We really thought Dani could read people better than that. Instead, she blabbed all about her life with Andre (Sean Freeman), which could ultimately put her in danger. Heather did imagine murdering Dani, after all.
Worth a Mention: BTG finally introduced Smitty’s mom, Jenny (Jennifer Van Horn), and gave us a backstory on his parents’ dynamic with the Duprees. It was the right move to bring his parents into the universe since Smitty (Mike Manning) is currently in big trouble.

Bold and the Beautiful
HIT: Finn’s reaction to learning Steffy went ahead with the surrogacy. The best part of this entire affair-surrogacy story arc is Finn’s reaction. Finn (Tanner Novlan) returned from his conference to find out from Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) that not only had she decided to be Carter and Daphne’s (Murielle Hilaire) surrogate, but she was also the egg donor. Finn was furious all week. And it was the appropriate reaction. He’ll hopefully keep it up.
MISS: Brooke and Bill. Bill (Don Diamont) has been loudly championing his Katie (Heather Tom). But after one conversation with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) — a chat that involved a flashback to their shared past — he’s all of a sudden trying to talk Katie (Heather Tom) out of destroying Forrester altogether. Bringing up Brooke and Bill’s past to get Katie to take it easier on FC wasn’t on our bingo card.
Worth a Mention: Katie can’t shake her dislike of Dylan (Sydney Bullock), who lost her job at Forrester after helping her. Without Dylan, Zende (Delon de Metz) never would have talked to Hope (Annika Noelle) and Katie. And now he has started work at Logan. The proper thing to do here is to give her a job. Katie’s hesitation isn’t a good look.

Days of our Lives
HIT: Brady-Kristen hospital scenes. Kristen’s return gave Brady a chance to share some hard truths. Namely, that her own daughter figured out that bad things happen when her mom is around. And that she was actually thriving without the constant drama in her life. Kristen decided that it would be best to go away and work on herself. Eric Martsolf and Stacy Haiduk work well together. The scenes were emotional, heartbreaking, and satisfying.
HIT and MISS: Amy and Sophia’s reunion. Sophia (Rachel Boyd) took Kristen’s advice and reunited with her mother. The Sophia-Amy (Shi Ne Nielson) reunion was everything. It was emotional, weighty, and beautifully heartwrenching. But selfishly, we needed more of it. It felt too brief. Would it have hurt to let them have another episode to reconnect before Sophia asked her mom to let her go?
Worth a Mention: The Dominic Marino casting announcement was key for two reasons. First, his name has been mentioned so many times. We’re eager to meet the guy (can it happen soon?). Second, the decision to cast Kyle Pryor was exciting, especially if you’ve ever watched a British soap called Hollyoaks. Pryor did a wonderful job playing a super villainous character on the UK drama. We can’t wait to see how he’ll do on American TV.

General Hospital
HIT: Britt’s 180 after her one-night stand. The way Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) blasted toxic energy at her coworkers at the Brown Dog was difficult to watch. But her one night with a mystery man (Wil Traval) completely changed her demeanor. She was self-aware. And she rendered Stella (Vernee Watson) speechless. Britt brought pastries to work, and she knew she would need to put in work to earn her coworkers’ trust. But her gossiping about her night with Lucas (Van Hansis) was the most fun. That friendship is the gift that keeps on giving.
MISS: Aidan gets his GED and gets into a French pastry school. All of Elizabeth’s kids will be studying far, far away from Port Charles. Cameron (William Lipton) is at Stanford. Jake (Hudson West) is at the Sorbonne. And now Aidan (Colin Cassidy) has gotten his GED, applied to an elite French pastry school, and got in. He leaves in a few days. Why can’t Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) have any of her kids in town?
Worth a Mention: While Monet’s (Blythe Howard) instant hate-on for her half-sister has been jarring, we can’t help but like it when she’s sparring with fellow attorney Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst). The two butted heads in two separate cases. Their back-and-forth in the libel lawsuit meeting was particularly enjoyable. They seem equally matched, legally speaking.

Young and the Restless***Standout Soap of the Week***
HIT: Adam helps Sally deliver her baby. The combination of Sally and Billy’s wedding, along with Adam (Mark Grossman) helping Sally (Courtney Hope) deliver her baby, is why Y&R is the standout soap of the week. Sally and Billy (Jason Thompson) said their “I Dos.” They looked beautiful. There were no major interruptions. And then the drama hit during the reception, which was refreshing. Cane (Billy Flynn) and Billy finding out about Jill (Jess Walton) was really well done. And all of the scenes involving Adam and Sally were perfect. It was odd that Adam really couldn’t get a hold of anybody else for help. But it didn’t matter. The way it played out had us in our feelings. And Ruby’s an adorable name for an adorable baby.
MISS: Lily’s test results. Lily (Christel Khalil) learned that she is cancer-free. That was good to hear. But we can’t help but wonder about the purpose of this cancer scare was. It didn’t really move the needle on anything.
Worth a Mention: Ashley Campbell, who played Sally’s sister Coco Spectra, was a successful casting decision for Y&R, as she interacted with Billy and the rest of the people in Sally’s inner circle. We’d be cool with her sticking around.
