Sexy Dialogue, Hot Love Scenes – Days of our Lives Pushes the Envelope

Soaps took a major step back from steamy kisses and racy bedroom romps during 2020 due to COVID-19 protocols, with some shows firmly adhering to the “six feet apart” rule and not having any lip-to-lip contact between co-stars. Days of our Lives, while less rigid, has really come out swinging in 2021.

Days of our Lives Pushes The Envelope

The beloved NBC soap, which recently got a huge shot of confidence from the network with a two-year pickup, has been pushing the envelope with suggestive dialogue and sexy love scenes. And it’s generated a lot of heat.

Talking the Talk

Nothing was hotter than the scene leading up to drunken enemies Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Xander (Paul Telfer) having rebound sex. The pair’s bickering was fire-fueled, as Nicole spewed her hatred for her once seriously twisted ex. Meanwhile, lusty Xander’s double entendres were simply outrageous as he propositioned Nicole.

“Birds of a feather flock together. What do you say? Wanna flock?” asked Paul Telfer’s Xander, emphasizing the word “flock” for full effect. Apparently, she did. Seconds later, the pair were wrapped up in each other’s arms, sharing a steamy kiss, before jumping into bed for a whole lot more.

Combustible Chemistry

Or course, for these sultry scenes to work, there has been chemistry and an intense trust between the two actors who are letting loose and ripping each other’s clothes off. Telfer and Zucker have it, and so do Brandon Barash and Camila Banus, who initially hooked up as Stefan and Gabi and recently reunited as Jake and Gabi.

The duo’s PG-rated kiss and makeup scene in the DiMera living room, quickly evolved into R-rated as they raced upstairs to the bedroom and tore each other’s clothes off. Within seconds, the twosome was in their skivvies, Gabi’s legs wrapped around Jake’s waist as they passionately “reconnected,” succumbing to the lust and love between them.

Love, Revisited

Even the unexpected re-pairing of Lucas and Sami has generated heat, as well as renewed interest from longtime Lumi fans. Bryan Dattilo and Alison Sweeney’s combative relationship as the teen lovers turned enemies turned spouses turned BFFs is always rife with potential. There’s a familiarity between their characters and a spark that lies dormant until it’s reignited.

That was evident during the duo’s surprise hook-up after Sami confessed that her hubby, EJ, doesn’t touch her anymore. What started as a heart-to-heart between the longtime pals, quickly evolved into a spontaneous kiss and then a night between the sheets filled with all sorts of future potential. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
