After Shawn (Brandon Beemer) confronted Belle (Martha Madison) about her sleeping with EJ (Dan Feuerriegel), she went to the DiMera Mansion to vent and the two ended up in bed together again. Meanwhile, Shawn received a mysterious packet on his desk.
Per EJ’s orders, at the wedding, “Rafe” (Galen Gering) revealed that he found dirt on Jada and insisted on calling off the wedding. Jada tried to fight it, but Shawn arrived with a dossier, forcing Paulina (Jackée Harry) to suggest holding off on the wedding until after an investigation.

The Body & Soul cast all received new scripts; Hattie (Deidre Hall) read hers during a visit with Bonnie (Judi Evans), Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) read theirs in bed, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) read hers after she and Steve (Stephen Nichols) came home from the disastrous wedding, and Chanel (Raven Bowens) brought Johnny’s (Carson Boatman) his when she went to the mansion to make up.
Everyone learned that their characters were being killed off in strange ways, while Stephanie (Abigail Klein) arrived at the B&S office and announced to Abe (James Reynolds) and Kate (Lauren Koslow) that she’s quitting and Kayla called Abe with questions about the strange script.
While Abe realized who was behind it, every cast member who handled a script suddenly fainted.

When Abe figured out the identity of the B&S slasher, he confronted Whitley (Kim Coles), who admitted? She was behind everything (and that she found out about Kassandra’s recasting from Soap Hub – thanks, DAYS!). Just as she was about to make Abe her next victim, Paulina showed up and the two got her back in her bed.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Seth (Bruce Beatty) read his script and vented to Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) about his character being killed off before suddenly collapsing. After Steve brought in Kayla and Chanel brought in Johnny, Sarah realized they all had been poisoned.
Stephanie tended to a poisoned Alex at his apartment after stopping by to tell him she quit her job.

As Alex recovered from the poisoning, he realized Joy may have been affected. When she didn’t answer his calls, he and Stephanie went to her room and found her unconscious. Once she was stable at the hospital, Alex and Stephanie shared a kiss that Joy caught.
Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) was a popular person in Salem as Kate vented to him about the future of B&S, while Sarah warned him not to do anything illegal after Xander (Paul Telfer) told her about their plan to take DiMera.
While Felicity (Kennedy Garcia) caught on to Cat’s (AnnaLynne McCord) feelings for Chad (Billy Flynn), he had a heart-to-heart with Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) that ended with her finally going up to her room to go to bed.

When Ava (Tamara Braun) found herself being saved by Brady (Eric Martsolf), she woke up to discover it was just a dream. After trying to make a deal with the Woman in White (Roslyn Gentle), when Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) found out her daughter had Ava’s phone, she went back to the house and found a tied-up Ava. As she was getting Ava free, the Woman in White appeared and Kristen reunited with her mother.
While EJ and Arnold kept up their charade, Jada got a visit from Steve, who shared a theory that EJ may have fabricated the dirt on her as payback.
