On today’s Days of our Lives, Stefan DiMera seemed to confuse his two lady loves, which didn’t exactly sit well with the one he was with.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
In addition, Stefan’s best-laid plan to dope EJ (Dan Feuerrigel) hit a snag, Brady and Li’s (Remington Hoffman) respective attempts to lure back their exes failed spectacularly, and, of all the restaurants in all of Salem, EJ and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and (Greg Vaughan) and Sloan had to pick the same one. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Stefan DiMera Strikes Out
Thanks to the mystery drug being introduced into his libations by Stefan, EJ has been all out of sorts, and he’s begun to wonder exactly why. Still, he was sure that he’d soon be over whatever it was that was ailing him.
Stefan assured his brother that he was right on the money…then tried to dose him right then and there. Unfortunately, baby brother Chad (Billy Flynn) swung by, and EJ offered him the tainted glass. Chad sipped, declared that the booze was far too strong for his constitution, and poured it down the nearest sink. Drat, hissed Stefan to himself.

No worries, there would be plenty more opportunities to poison EJ. But don’t fret. As Stefan so helpfully explained to Stefano’s portrait, he’s not out to kill EJ. No, he’s just looking to knock EJ off his game and then over the edge into insanity. It’s nothing that Stefano didn’t do a thousand times before him.
But now to focus on other matters, namely matters of the heart. Stefan phoned up Gabi (Camila Banus), requested the pleasure of her company for the evening, and got an immediate and enthusiastic ‘yes.’
The romantic interlude started off well enough, even if Gabi was a bit confused as to why Stefan was pipping in the soundtrack from Carmen. His bringing out a bottle of her/their favorite wine and whispering sweet nothings in her ear, and kissing her soon put Gabi at ease.
All right, enough of all that — Gabi was ready to retire upstairs. Stefan was right with her. G-d, how he loves her. How he loves *uh oh* Chloe! Well, that admission was a mood killer.
DOOL Recap: Missing In Action
Faintly aware that Chloe was screening his calls, Brady (Eric Martsolf) left a pleading voicemail — and not for the first time. He’s worried about her, he offered. Won’t she please let him or someone know that she is well?
Enter Nicole, who swore to Brady that Chloe was doing just fine. Well, as fine as could be expected. What would make Chloe feel even better is Brady just stopping. She’s still mighty sore that he broke up with her at Kristen’s (Stacy Haiduk) insistence rather than confiding what exactly was going on with the villainess and the miracle orchid.
Brady admitted that that was his bad and bemoaned the fact that his actions did little more than temporarily halt Marlena (Deidre Hall), Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), and Kate’s (Lauren Koslow) untimely deaths.
DAYS Recap: Game Plan
Sloan had news for Li, most excellent news: she’d stymied Dr. Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) efforts to rat him out to Rafe (Galen Gering)…for now, at least. That’s one problem solved in the short term.
Great, excellent, declared Li. Now, what does Sloan plan to do about Gabi? Well, offered Sloan, she could drag out divorce proceedings for months, even years. Would that help?
Li supposed, but he was expecting a bit more than subterfuge. Sorry Charlie, declared Sloan. She’s not a miracle worker. She also doesn’t do love and mush, so she’s not exactly sure how to best advise Li. That said, the legal eagle did brightly suggest that Li look inward as only he knows the proper way to approach Gabi. That’s some pretty solid advice.
Sadly, it didn’t come to much. Li managed to get Gabi on the phone, and he did speak to her long enough to invite her for a night on the town, but he was summarily rebuked. At least he tried.
Awkward Encounters Salem Style
Despite not feeling his best, EJ insisted on treating Nicole to a fancy dinner — just don’t call it a Valentine’s Day date. Nicole agreed. Opposite this, Eric talked Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) into joining him for a meal at the Bistro — because she hates all things Brady Pub, especially that damn clam chowder. Things between the two went rather swimmingly until EJ and Nicole darkened the establishment.
Stephanie Johson And Chad: Relationship Goals
Though not exactly the most intimate of evenings, Stephanie (Abigail Klein) and Chad really rather enjoyed each other’s company and the thin-crust pizza that the latter ordered for them. By far, the highlight of the evening was the presentation of the homemade cookie made by precious darlings Thomas (Cary Christopher) and Charlotte to Stephanie. They also got a surprise from Stephanie — those hearts with sayings on them. Sweet.
Days of our Lives Recap: Valentine’s For Singles
Back at Basic Black, Brady put in yet another call to Chloe that went unanswered. He wants her to know that he loves and misses her. Meanwhile, Li busied himself with downing an entire bottle of wine solo and imagining a world where Gabi could stand to be in the same room as him.
Elsewhere, the Brady Pub to be exact, Jada (Elia Cantu) — fresh off a wound-opening run-in with Eric — asked Rafe (Galen Gering) to join her at a table and share a beer rather than take his burger to go. They were both extremely happy that he decided to do so.
