On today’s Days of our Lives, Melinda Trask — like so many other Salemites around her — seems poised to reap the benefits of a mystery aphrodisiac introduced into some biscuits.
In addition, Eric (Greg Vaughan) did his utmost to convince Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) that change was in order, and Gabi (Camila Banus) and Talia (Aketra Sevillian) put their heads together. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
At the DiMera manse, a weary Johnny (Carson Boatman) groused to EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) that he’d been unable to sleep owing to the wild, animalistic sounds drifting down the hallway — the implication being that he didn’t appreciate their vocality.
But EJ and Nicole had news for Johnny: those sounds were emanating from Stefan’s (Brandon Barash) room and were courtesy of Melinda Trask (Tina Huang). And no, Stefan and Melinda aren’t actually an item. It’s just fun and games on their part as well as an attempt to pull one over on EJ and Nicole.

Upstairs, Melinda put forth a slight effort to actually get Stefan to bed her but didn’t seem too put out when Stefan passed. What did disappoint her mightily was EJ later blowing his top and revealing that not only was he on to the schemers’ ruse but that he had photographic evidence of Stefan and Gabi’s affair.
Once Melinda took her leave, EJ took Stefan to task for being a “traitor” to Stefano and everything that he built and stood for.
Giving as good as he got, Stefan reminded EJ that he’s the “miserable son of a bitch who offered his hand to me in a truce and immediately started working behind my back to sabotage me” — an accusation that EJ couldn’t actually deny…not that he cared.
With the proverbial cat out of the bag, the brothers both agreed that there was a considerable upside: neither one has to go on pretending anymore. The downside, of course, for Stefan and Gabi anyway, is that Gabi won’t be able to get her hot little hands on Li’s (Remington Hoffman) shares in DiMera Enterprises.
Stefan placed an SOS phone call to Gabi and filled her in on the disappointing development, which helped her finally make sense of why Li had been so cold and distant with her earlier that morning.
The lovers then agreed to accentuate the positives. Gabi could now divest herself of Li and Stefan could move his happy behind into the apartment that she was sharing with her soon-to-no-longer-be-sister-in-law [because Wendy (Victoria Grace) would surely approve of that.].
Unfortunately, the dosed biscuits that the two had consumed earlier in the day began to kick in and thrust their libidos into overdrive.
When Stefan came face-to-face with a freshly showered, still glistening Melinda, all he could see was his lady love, and he intended to take advantage of his good fortune. Elsewhere, despite it being Li standing before her, all a hot and bothered Gabi could see was her beloved Stefan.
There’s a good chance Li won’t care if it means he could have Gabi. He actually shed a tear talking to his sister earlier about how Gabi cheated on him. Wendy tried to get Li to see reason about the fact Gabi will never love him back, but she realized he’s never loved anyone like he does Gabi. Poor Li.
Sloan opened her door to Eric, who’d arrived bearing pastries…from Sweet Bits. Triggered, Sloan berated him for bringing that “trash” into her house, and Eric countered that he was attempting to help her get over what happened to her mother and help her move past her feud with Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Paulina (Jackée Harry).
During the course of the blistering argument that followed, Sloan got Eric to admit that he had indeed considered the possibility that Sloan was the women’s mystery tormentor. For that, Sloan banished Eric from her apartment and her life, explaining, “I’m not in the habit of sleeping with people who think I’m out committing felonies in my spare time.”
As for his things, Eric can collect them from the street once Sloan’s finished throwing them out the window!
Dejected, Eric headed for his room above the Brady Pub only to cross paths with a now frisky feeling Nicole, who imagined Eric in his priest’s garb.
With the breakfast rush finally slowing down — and a new batch of biscuits baking in the oven — Talia and Chanel parted with the former moseying on over to Gabi so that they could figure out how to best push Rafe (Galen Gering) and Jada (Elia Cantu) together and the latter seeing to her “walking zombie” of an ex.
Johnny appreciated Chanel’s concern and the biscuit she fed him, but he couldn’t help but mourn his current predicament. When Chanel pressed for details, Johnny offered that he thinks Wendy is going to dump him for Tripp (Lucas Adams).
Rather than wallow though, Johnny inquired as to whether or not “that horrible woman” was still terrorizing Chanel and her mom. Chanel answered in the affirmative and then steered the conversation back to Johnny’s romantic woes.
Johnny complained that his rival has more to offer a girl. Tripp’s a full-fledged medical doctor, and he’s but a failed filmmaker. Tripp’s built, handsome, and marks the sympathy box with his institutionalized mother. “He’s got it all,” rued Johnny.
Chanel worked to bolster Johnny’s confidence, assuring him that he had just as much to offer as Tripp. The former marrieds wound up reminiscing about the Italian vacation they took, which culminated in their wedding, and as the drug began to take hold of Johnny, he was reminded of a stunning scarlet outfit that Chanel had once donned.
Seeing her suddenly clothed in it yet again, Johnny sunk to one knee in preparation for a reproposal just as Wendy entered the scene!
