The DAYS spoilers recap for Friday, September 23, 2022, spotlight some surprisingly good police work, a distraught widower taking matters into his own hands, a plea for common sense, and proof that confession might not always be good for the soul.
DAYS Spoilers Recap Highlights
After learning from Nancy Miller (Patrika Darbo) that it is her fiancé and not her ex-husband who smells of vanilla, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) rushes to Sonny Kiriakis’s (Zach Tinker) side and begs him to think back to the night of his stabbing and see if he can recall seeing Clyde Weston (James Read).

Sure enough, like a bolt out of the blue, Sonny does remember seeing Clyde’s menacing reflection in a picture frame. Success! But what of Clyde’s alibi for Abigail Deveraux DiMera’s (Marci Miller) stabbing? He was, after all, captured on videotape at the fishing spot he swore he didn’t budge from.
Enter sleuth extraordinaire Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu), who scrubbed the surveillance tape frame by frame and discovered a major glitch in the system. The timestamp was off, way off. This does not bode well for Clyde; neither does Chad returning to the DiMera manse and retrieving a handgun.
DOOL Recap: Lovers And Fighters
It took a while, but Jada and Nicole Walker Hernandez (Arianne Zucker) seem to understand one another perfectly. Jada gets that Nicole is bitter and wholly jealous of her relationship with Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan), and Nicole gets that Jada has her number. It’s not exactly a step in the right direction, but it’s a step nonetheless.
Days of our Lives Recap: Hidden Asset
Though she feared that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) might take her to task for interfering in his battle for custody of Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater), Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) was quickly set straight. Brady didn’t care one bit that she took a not entirely legal meeting with the judge or that she handed over footage of Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) threatening to stab her with a letter opener. If anything, he was grateful that his ladylove’s actions clinched his case.
DOOL Recap: Too Close For Comfort
In want of something to do, Nicole and Eric laid their cards on the table. No, she didn’t actually plan to offer him a job, and no, her dream about him was not of the warm and friendly variety — it was hot, sweaty, and passionate. He likewise admitted that he’d been having naughty fantasies about her. But fantasies are just that — they’re mature enough not to act on their passions, right? Right?!
DAYS Spoilers Recap: Worst Wishes
If there’s one thing that Chloe can’t abide, it’s her mother marrying Clyde — and Craig Wesley’s (Kevin Spirtas) agreeing to walk Nancy down the aisle doesn’t exactly strike a good chord either.
