The DAYS spoilers recap for Thursday, September 22, 2022, answers one burning question and leaves behind a whole host of others. Why can nothing ever be simple in Salem?
Much to Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) surprise, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) wasn’t exactly gung-ho to arrest Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas) based on the fact that he puts off the same scent as the person who may or may not have killed Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller) and stabbed Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker).

Still, to Rafe’s credit, he does mull over Chad’s accusation, and after Craig finishes calling on, yelling at, and manhandling Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart), Rafe pulls him aside for a friendly little chat and a sniff.
Elsewhere, Chad chats up Nancy Miller (Patrika Darbo) and learns that her ex never scrub a dub dubbed with anything that smelled of vanilla — but her fiancé, Clyde Weston (James Read), surely does. It’s just one of the many things that Nancy loves about him.
And Clyde loves Nancy, really he does. So much so that he convinced her to marry him posthaste. He even acquiesced to her desire to make the private ceremony that he’d prefer into a big family event. But what’s Nancy going to say when she finds out that Clyde is the town’s latest fiend?
Sonny and Alexander Neil Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) have never seen eye-to-eye on, well, anything. Plus, Alex was always stealing Sonny’s favorite flavored jelly bean; clearly, the elder brother is all kinds of awful.
But if the truth were to be told, he really was forced into the CEOship at Titan by business-before-family Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston), and he really did have Sonny’s best interests at heart when he bought that one company out from under him — so, it’s too bad that Sonny is thinking the worst of him.
Jennifer Rose Horton Deveraux (Cady McClain) is in a bad way; like a ‘popping pain pills in the middle of the afternoon just for funsies’ kind of way. Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) is, as per usual, totally oblivious, but Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) has got her number…and by that, we mean she caught her red-handed with a bottle of make me feel goods.
Gwen did her seeming best to convince Jenn to come clean but was summarily rebuked and put on full blast — if word reaches Jack about her problem, then Jenn will ensure that Jack cuts all ties with his daughter, and she can do it too.
