The DAYS spoilers recap for Monday, September 12, 2022, features a wicked plan bearing fruit, a bluff called, a new perspective, and so much more.
Much to Li Shin’s (Remington Hoffman) delight, Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) has no sentimental feelings for his wife. In fact, he didn’t even appreciate the smooch that Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) laid on him once she managed to wrap her head around the fact that his heartless body had been put on ice by Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) for four years.

No, as far as Stefan is concerned, Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) is the lady for him, and Gabi is merely the She-devil who came between them. That said, he’s happy that Gabi has hitched herself to Li — at least now he won’t have to worry about her ruining his happily ever after with his beloved songstress.
The fact that Gabi is running the show at DiMera Enterprises is another matter. That just might be something that Stefan has to correct. Oh, and he should really look into getting a divorce.
Having slaved over 9,999 cookies embossed with “Vote For Abe” with their tastiest icing, the last thing that Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) wanted to hear was their efforts were for naught.
Turns out it’s back to the drawing board — or batter mix, as the case may be — because the new candidate for Governor of whatever state Salem is set in is Paulina Price Carver (Jackée Harry). The good news? “Vote For Paulina” isn’t going to fit on your standard-sized cookie, and bigger cookies cost extra!
Though she’s made herself pretty clear in the past, Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) once more found herself having to tell Alexander Neil Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) that she wasn’t the least bit interested in hanging out with him outside of the office.
This time, Alex seemed to get the message — and it broke his poor little heart. The only cure that he could think of: a threesome with Allie and Channel. But that was also a no-go. For the second time. This time, Alex seemed to get the message — and it didn’t so much break his poor little heart as it did bruise his massive ego.
In spite of her libido screaming yes, Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) decided to say no to going all the way with Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman). Heavy petting and tongue action was all he was going to get from her, and she meant it.
But just as Johnny was coming to grips with the fact that he wasn’t going to score after all, in burst EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). He wasn’t pleased to find his son in bed with Ava. There was much yelling and name-calling, and then EJ ordered Ava out of his house — and not for the first time.
Johnny said she won’t be leaving without me, and EJ agreed that would be best for all concerned. Still, EJ was surprised when Johnny announced that he was following through on his threat and heading to the Salem Inn with DiMera Family Enemy #1.
Thanks to some words of wisdom from Paulina — something about opening yourself up to opportunities you’d otherwise ignore — Stephanie began to look at Alex in a different light. Maybe he wasn’t the player dude she took him for, after all. One drink with him at a cocktail bar wouldn’t hurt…right?
