The DAYS spoilers recap for Thursday, September 1, 2022, features a scene out of the melodramas of old — the heroic men riding to their damsels’ rescue. Ugh. Couldn’t the sisters have done it for themselves?

Milo Harp, alias Orpheus (George DelHoyo), channeled his inner John Kramer and set Roman Brady (Josh Taylor), John Black (Drake Hogestyn), and Steve Johnson (Stephen Johnson) on a quest to find their women folk.

Thanks in large part to Roman — with a tiny assist from numbers savant ‘Patch’ — the men deduced that Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall), Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow), and Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) were being held in a warehouse located at 209 Stockholm Street. How clever of them, and of Orpheus.
At the last possible second — literally! — the bomb set to blow the sextet sky high was diffused, and there was much celebrating; but Orpheus privately swore that there was more, much more to come. Dun, dun, duuuun!!

DOOL Recap: Friendless
Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) and Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) — using his birth name Matthew — made each other’s acquaintance, and *gasp* became quite cozy. But what seemed the beginning of a beautiful friendship quickly came to an end when Alexander Neil Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) pointed out that Steph was drinking with Sonny Kiriakis’s (Zach Tinker) long-time tormentor. Talk about a record scratch moment.
Days of our Lives Recap: Inconceivable
Try as she might, and Lord knows that she tried mightily, Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) just couldn’t quite convince Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) that she hadn’t stabbed her sister/his wife to death in a blind fury. Funny that Chad wouldn’t take the word of a lying liar who lies.
DOOL Recap: Rebuff Buff
Steph showed her appreciation to Alex for setting her straight about Leo by giving him the time of day. And since she had given an inch, Alex tried to take a mile. But rather than be completely put off as she would have been previously, Steph was only mildly annoyed. Progress?
DAYS Spoilers Recap: Trouble And Knife
All Leo wants is to make amends with Sonny and stop being framed for murder — attempted or otherwise. He sort of succeeded with his first goal — Sonny did forgive him, though he made it clear that there would never be any trust between them — but as soon as his back was turned, someone plunged a letter opener into Sonny’s! Maybe Leo should have started smaller.
