DAYS Spoilers Recap For May 2: Marlena Hypnotized A Very Confused Jake

The DAYS spoilers recap for Monday, May 2, 2022, features Jake DiMera finally making himself useful, EJ DiMera experiencing an epiphany, and Johnny DiMera blowing Chanel Dupree’s mind.

Despite probably needing his noggin examined, Jake (Brandon Barash) bypassed the Emergency Room and headed straight for Dr. Marlena Evans Black’s (Deidre Hall) office, all in the hopes that she’ll be able to pry something of value from his subconscious. And of course, she does — Marlena’s no slouch.

Thanks to the hypno-voodoo performed on him, Jake deduces that DevAllie (Lindsay Arnold) conned Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) into believing that her beloved hubs is dead as a doornail. Expectedly, this does not sit well with Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson).

Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) is way down in the dumps. She’s been fired from a job she loved, and mean ole Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) won’t paint the master bath no matter how much she begs or how many times she beats him at darts.

The last thing Kayla needed was the news that Allie was possessed and in possession of a heavily pregnant Ciara and that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) had been likewise co-opted by Satan and nearly strangled to death by a zombie. Is it any wonder that she had more interest in returning to her pub meal than listening further?

Thanks to a little black magic, DevAllie managed to convince Ciara that they had to catch the next available ferry to Smith Island and barricade themselves in the Horton family cabin. Now what?

EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) is bad father. Point blank. You know it, we know it, and EJ’s finally accepted that fact. But he swears that he’ll do better. Moving forward, he’ll let Johnny be his own man and support him in any way possible. EJ’s also going to take a good hard look at his own life, now that he’s realized he actually admired the Devil’s handiwork.

DAYS Spoilers Recap: State Of The Union

Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Johnny have a few things that need to clear up. First, he knows all about her dalliance with Allie, and all though he doesn’t approve, he can certainly understand where she was coming from. Second, she needs him to understand that she did not, repeat, did not sleep with Tripp. To say that Johnny was hella pleased would be an understatement.
