The DAYS spoilers recap for Tuesday, July 26, 2022, features yet another DiMera taking a bullet, Kristen DiMera wielding her new power like the madwoman that she is, and Sarah Horton beginning to wonder if maybe she is a stab-happy fiend.
After deciding that they’ve found the one in each other, Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) agree to make it official with an engagement ring — and call Ava crazy, but she’s not exactly thrilled at the idea of accepting a used ring, especially when the former owner was none other than Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien).

But gosh darn it, wouldn’t you know that her former partner-in-crime’s bauble is the best looking in the whole jewelry store. Oh well, it’s not like the ring is cursed or anything. It’s not like as soon as they walk out into broad daylight with it some tweaker’s just going to show up and shoot Jake for it. Oh, wait. That’s actually what happened!
Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) is pissed. He missed out on a lucrative business deal, and since he’s pretty sure that it’s all Gabi Hernandez DiMera’s (Camila Banus) fault, he goes to yell at her. Whoops. Turns out Gabi’s innocent. Talk soon turned to Cuckoo bird Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and Gabi’s fine new man. Peace restored.
Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) do not like the idea of Kristen being their new boss; not one little bit. This delights Kristen to no end. Equally thrilling for Kristen is what she suspects is fireable behavior on Chloe’s part. Wethinks that claiming Chloe sexually harassed Brady in the workplace won’t exactly fly, but Kristen’s giddy, so why push the issue?
Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) is sure that her daughter isn’t a cold-blooded murderess – or even a warm-blooded one. Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) concurs. But Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) isn’t so sure. Especially in light of her having threatened Gwen with a letter opener, though, in Sarah’s defense, she did hallucinate that Gwen was packing heat.
Alexander Neil Kiriakis II (Robert Scott Wilson) is back in town, back in the Kiriakis fold, shirtless and dripping wet, and looking suspiciously like one Ben Weston. Sonny couldn’t be more thrilled.
