Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) may have been the one who was raped, but to hear Belle (Martha Madison) tell it, she’s the one who everybody should feel sorry for. After all, she might have to co-parent Jan Spears’s (Heather Lindell) child.

It’s the end of the world as far as Belle’s concerned, and despite his best efforts, John Black (Drake Hogestyn) can’t convince her otherwise. His drawing a parallel between the assault perpetrated against Shawn and his affair with Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) really didn’t help matters either.

DOOL Recap: Bad Influence

Boy or girl? Blue or pink? Gender reveal parties — yay or nay? Everybody’s got an opinion, but the overarching one is that Clyde Weston (James Read) is all kinds of awful and really shouldn’t be around a baby, let alone the good folks of Salem. See, not everybody on this show is as dumb as a box of rocks.

Remember how we just said not everybody in Salem is dumb…scratch that. The fact that no one, especially fellow possessees Marlena and Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) can tell that something is majorly wrong with Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) just proves this crew has learned nothing from the past. Either that or they find Allie to be a hoeish flake who has no problem breaking hearts and shirking her responsibilities. Surely they haven’t confused her with Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney).

Why does the world, and all the sexy twins in it seem to be against Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens)? Is she a bad person getting her karmic comeuppance? Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) doesn’t think so. Then again, mothers don’t tend to blame their children for much of anything. And we all know Paulina is a soft touch *cough* TR Coates (William Christian) *cough*…ahem.
