DAYS Recap: Stefan And Gabi Double-Cross Brady

Published by

In the Days of our Lives recap for October 27, 2023, “Stabi” stabbed Brady in the back. He really should have seen this coming.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

In addition, Chad and Stephanie reach an impasse, and Steve and Kayla go on a trip down Memory Lane. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what happened.

Days of our Lives Recap: Bamboozled And Betrayed

While Marlena (Deidre Hall) took Brady (Eric Martsolf) to task for both involving himself in Stefan (Brandon Barash) and Gabi’s (Camila Banus) scheme and putting any faith whatsoever in them, the demonic duo put the finishing touches on their blackmail video.

To prove that they’re not heartless, Stefan and Gabi both expressed some regret over what they were about to do. Yes, it’s low…low down and dirty. But, it’ll never go any further than Kristen (Stacy Haiduk). Also, Rachel (Finley Rose Slater) won’t be harmed by this in any way so, bonus. As for Brady…well, he’ll find another way to get custody of his daughter. But, they are very, very sorry about the dirty double-cross.

Meanwhile, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) did his utmost to convince Kristen to sign her shares in DiMera over to him. No sell! Ditto his suggestion that she “temporarily” transfer them to his safekeeping. However, Kristen did at least agree to give any advice that EJ offered great consideration.

Soon Kristen was back home and screening “Stabi’s” hit piece. After affirming that it was blackmail rather than a poor attempt at humor, Kristen weighed her options. She could take her chances with a judge.

In the end, Kristen caved. The shares were Stefan and Gabi’s to do with as they saw fit. All that remained was for the couple to trek over to Brady’s and inform him that he’d been duped. Not surprisingly, he did not thank them.

DAYS Recap: Where Has The Love Gone

At the Brady Pub, Stephanie (Abigail Klein) admitted to Chad (Billy Flynn) that yes, yes she did want to marry him someday. Chad, for his part, was blown away by the confession. Why hadn’t she told him sooner? Why had she agreed with his proposal that they take things slow?

Stephanie countered with a question of her own: If Chad didn’t see marriage anywhere on the horizon, why did he ask her to move in with him and his children?

He answered that it seemed like the next natural step. And the next step after that would be…what, wondered Stephanie. “Marriage…eventually,” choked out Chad.

Stephanie then asked if Chad was having second thoughts about them. No! Perish the thought. He’s glad that he moved in with her. He’s glad that he gets to wake up to her beautiful face every morning. He’s glad that his kids adore her. It’s just…it’s just…it’s just that he’s so totally off guard. He thought things were going well between them.

Stephanie granted that they were. Until he started pulling away from her. That was due to the elephant in the room which is his dead ex-wife — who also happens to be her dear cousin. Steph confessed that she was tired of living in Abigail’s shadow…sick and tired. She didn’t intend to do it anymore.

With a pointed condemnation — namely that he’d never love her as much as Abigail — Stephanie stormed off for home where she was greeted by a ghost from the past. As for Chad, he remained behind to drown his sorrows and complain to Kate (Lauren Koslow).

DOOL Recap: Love, It’s Complicated

Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) had quite the bone to pick with Steve (Stephen Nichols). Why did he interfere in their daughter’s relationship? Yes, he was clearly trying to help, but he may have made things so much worse. The best thing the two of them can do is butt out…totally. From here on out, they’re going to be hands-off.

The topic of conversation then turned to their own complicated love story. You know, one day Steve was flatlining in the hospital, and then nearly two decades later they’re reuniting. After he recovered from amnesia, of course.
