In the Days of our Lives recap for September 11, 2023, an ailing Sarah makes a swift recovery and introduces her darling babe to her grandmother…and biological father.
In addition, Brady gives Alex advice where Theresa is concerned and resolves to solve the mystery of Victor’s missing will. Also, everything comes up roses for villainous Vivian. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what happened.
With Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) hemorrhaging at a slightly alarming rate, Rex (Kyle Lowder) insisted that the crew of makeshift midwives — which included himself, Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin), and Xander (Paul Telfer) — rush her to the hospital themselves rather than await an ambulance.
Xander managed to sweet talk Sarah back from the brink, but her conscious state was only momentary, and lasted long enough for her to extract a promise that, if anything happened to her, Xander would take care of “our girl.”

While Rex and Xander tended to mother and child, Candy *damn it Vivian (Louise Sorel), now you’ve got us doing it* make that Chloe headed inside the Kiriakis mansion to alert Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) to the goings on.
By the time Maggie and Chloe reached University Hospital, Sarah was out of the woods and expected to make a complete recovery. Soon mother was up and tending to baby and declaring that she had something that she wanted to announce — and she wanted Xander to stick around and hear it.
With that, Sarah debuted Victoria Margaret (named after Victor and Maggie, respectively). Is that all you wanted to say, pointedly wondered Maggie. Yes, yes it was, spit out Sarah. Turns out she’s thought better about coming clean to Xander. She just couldn’t set herself or her baby up for the pain that would come from having Xander in their lives.
Meanwhile, Brady (Eric Martsolf) took it upon himself to fill a clearly smitten Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) in on some of Theresa’s (Jen Lilley) less admirable qualities, her talent for finding trouble in particular. Alex, of course, was unbothered. After all, he and Theresa clearly have lots in common.
Opposite this, Theresa — who had the pleasure of catching up with Auntie Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) — joined Cousin Stephanie (Abigail Klein) for a beer klatch at the Brady Pub. Steph was a bit taken aback to hear that Alex (AKA the “hot guy” at Victor’s funeral) had caught Theresa’s eye and admitted that the two of them had once been an item.
But, of course, she was with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) now, so Theresa should feel free to pursue Alex to her heart’s content. And as for the assertion that Theresa was only interested because she thought it might make Brady jealous…perish the thought! But probably.
Having tried and failed to convince, well, anyone to take her at her word, Vivian bided her time awaiting Justin’s (Wally Kurth) mad dash to the county clerk’s office by bonding with Bonnie (Judi Evans) over their respective times in Statesville’s Cell Block H. By the time Maggie and Justin returned, the two women were really whooping it up.
Despite his best efforts, Justin did not have good news for Maggie. He’d checked, and double-checked, and triple-checked and declared that “Vivian is telling the truth. You and Victor were never legally married.”
After cackling and pointing out that she now stood to “inherit every penny Victor ever made,” Vivian told everyone to pack their belongings and get the Hell out of her house.
Apprised of the situation unfolding at his grandfather’s estate, Brady took it upon himself to try to get to the bottom of why Victor would have requested the destruction of his will. The closest to an answer he got was that Victor made said request from Greece. Now, what would Victor have been doing in Greece?
