In the Days of our Lives recap for September 15, 2023, Gwen proves that she is indeed smarter than your average bear.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
In addition, Maggie temporarily retreats, and Theresa makes a nuisance of herself. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what happened.
Days of our Lives Recap: Wedded Miss
His midmorning drag routine ruined, Leo (Greg Rikaart) opened his door to Gwen (Emily O’Brien) — ironically the woman he’d just been impersonating — who barreled on in and proceeded to bemoan about her and Dimitri’s (Peter Porte) overactive sex life.
Oh, it’s just too much. They’re going at it all the time. Constantly shagging morning, noon, and night. Before dinner and after dinner. “It’s like someone’s just fed a very horny Popeye his spinach.” And boy, was Leo right. Dimitri does have a magic penis. Also, what an adventurer. Always willing to try every position at least once. Their recent discovery was the “Pinball Wizard,” a move that made the “Venus Butterfly” look like child’s play.

Despite himself, Leo momentarily lost his cool, very nearly blowing his and Dimitri’s cover in the process, but he was luckily able to sufficiently recover.
Opposite this, Dimitri, riding high on getting his hands on the first installment of his trust, not only confessed to Auntie Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) that the “gossiping little gecko” she was disparaging was the man that he loved, but he also took great pleasure in denying her a cut of the loot.
In response, Kristen took equal pleasure in later saddling up to supposed bestie and confiding that Dimitri and Leo were having an affair. “Oh, Kristen. I already knew that,” purred Gwen.
DAYS Recap: Changing Of The Guard
At the Kiriakis mansion, Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) popped in to see Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) and apologize for being unable to attend Victor’s memorial service. Soon Vivian (Louise Sorel) put in an appearance and Julie was apprised of recent goings on, i.e., the destroyed will, the fact that Vivian and Victor’s marriage was never dissolved, and that Vivina had ordered Maggie to vacate the premises.
There were also some veiled threats made at Lani’s (Sal Stowers) and her twins’ expense, but Julie decided to let those go in order to focus on Maggie and her plight. And while Vivian sauntered off, Julie worked to convince Maggie to pack a bag and move in with her and Doug (Bill Hayes) — for the time being.
DOOL Recap: Bad Behavior
Over at the DiMera mansion, Gabi (Camila Banus) and Stefan (Brandon Barash) resolved to blackmail Dimitri over his affair with Leo. Their silence would cost him his and Megan’s voting proxy.
Just before the illicit deal could be suggested, Gabi, Stefan, Dimitri, and Kristen were forced to contend with a visiting Vivian, who hoped against hope that Dimitri took after his mother’s side of the family rather than his father’s side, what with her being a sworn enemy of the Von Leuschners and all.
Post blackmail, Dimitri made a beeline for Leo’s hotel room, but his lover was more interested in taking him to task for cheating on him with his wife! At the same time, Maggie took her leave of Victor’s home — but not before insisting to Vivian that the war between them was just getting started.
Days of our Lives Recap: Best Laid Plans
Meanwhile, over in Greece, Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) was bemused to open his door to Theresa (Jen Lilley), who’d followed him and Brady (Eric Martsolf) in the hopes of impressing Alex by making herself useful.
The fed-up men implored Theresa to stay put at the hotel while they went adventuring, which may or may not have been a good idea considering that it’s Theresa who answers the door to someone bearing a vital clue to the men’s search.
