DAYS Recap: Gabi Got Slapped With A Murder Charge

Published by

In the Days of our Lives recap for November 6, 2023, Gabi found herself fingered for a crime that she swears she had nothing to do with.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

In addition, Ava and her new employer tangled, Harris’s spidey senses began to tingle, and Stephanie tired of Chad’s jealous-man shtick. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what happened.

Days of our Lives Recap: The Unkindest Cut

Off a most delicious meal at The Bistro — now under Ava’s (Tamara Braun) auspice — Wendy (Victoria Grace) and Tripp (Lucas Adams) chit-chatted about her poor, broken-hearted brother.

Wasn’t Gabi (Camila Banus) just the worst? What kind of psycho fakes her own kidnapping to try to blackmail someone? And what’s worse is that Wendy really thought she and Gabi were friends. But she really stabbed her brother in the back. Yes, she did. And after he’d gone to the trouble of making appointments with Marlena (Deidre Hall) to work on himself.

Opposite this, Stefan (Brandon Barash) came upon the sight of Gabi kneeling over Li’s (Remington Hoffman) prone, seemingly lifeless form, bloody knife in hand. Why did she do it? Why did she kill Li?

“I didn’t” swore Gabi. Li was like that when she got there. She just, you know, pulled the knife out because it seemed the most prudent thing to do. Stefan disagreed. Now her fingerprints were all over the murder weapon.

Rather than immediately make tracks, the two stood around and pondered. If Gabi didn’t kill Li, then who did? Is it possible he stabbed himself? Sure. But in the back? Highly unlikely. Well, that’s their powers of deduction exhausted.

Oh, wait! Clearly, someone was trying to frame Gabi. Yes, that made about as much sense as anything. But who? And why? More importantly, why were they still hanging around the scene of the crime? And why oh why did Gabi pick the killing knife back up? And why did Wendy and Tripp pick that exact moment to walk in? D’oh!

Tripp leaped into doctor mode and found a faint pulse. There was still hope for Li! Unfortunately, that hope dissipated by the time the patient reached the hospital. Even more unfortunate was his dying declaration that Gabi was the one who stabbed him. To quote Harris Michaels (Steve Burton).

DAYS Recap: Between A Rock And A Hard Place

Speaking of Harris, he’d earlier swung by The Bistro to tempt Ava (Tamara Braun) into going on a date with him and clocked some tension between her and Gil (David S. Lee). Ava was able to deflect, and after some hemming and hawing, she eventually accepted Harris’s invitation. Once Harris took his leave — you know, to deal with the stabbing — Gil slithered over to give Ava a hard time and her marching orders.

DOOL Recap: Ex-Files

Meanwhile, Chad (Billy Flynn) made Everett’s (Blake Berris) acquaintance and was put out to hear the virtual stranger refer to himself as Stephanie’s (Abigail Klein) boyfriend. Whoops! Slip of the tongue. He of course meant to say ex-boyfriend, AKA the man who supposedly ghosted her in Seattle.

Everett relayed his long-ago medical crisis to Chad, then assured him that he was backing off. Of course, he’s not going to pursue Stephanie now that he knows she’s involved. But he is sticking around Salem — a fact that perturbed Chad greatly.

Even more galling to Chad was that Stephanie hadn’t filled him in on the development earlier. Stephanie, for her part, blasted Chad for his seeming indifference to Everett’s plight and admitted that it was nice to know that there was at least one man out there hopelessly devoted to her and only her.

Days of our Lives Recap: (Step)Mother Knows Best

Elsewhere, Roman (Josh Taylor), Marlena (Deidre Hall), and Brady (Eric Martsolf) chowed down on Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Sloan’s (Jessica Serfaty) make-do wedding cake and reflected on the quickie nuptials. After Roman took his leave, Brady explained to Marlena that he’d been duped by Stefan and Gabi. They screwed him. Despite being given the opportunity, Marlena refused to say “I told you so.”
