The DAYS recap for Monday, October 31, 2022, presented proof positive that a leopard can indeed change his spots…well, positive-ish. Baby steps and all that.

DAYS Recap Highlights

In this episode, Alexander Neil Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) endeared himself to Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) who endeared herself to Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) kids — and Chad DiMera. Elsewhere, Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) put her honey darling, precious baby EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) on high alert, and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) succumbed to temptation. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.

DOOL Recap: By The Skin Of His Teeth

After having a root around Sloan Petersen’s (Jessica Serfaty) private things — and by that, we mean her correspondences and files, not at all what you were thinking — Alex found exactly what he — and by “he” we mean Stephanie — was looking for. But how was he to now abscond with the material that Sloan is holding over Paulina Price Carver’s (Jackée Harry) and Chanel Dupree’s (Raven Bowens) heads?

Days of our Lives Maggie and Holly

Enter Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers), who’d drawn the short straw and was forced to accompany greedy Holly Jonas (Elin Alexander) on a second round of trick-or-treating. While Holly wondered aloud why Alex’s companion was half-dressed, blindfolded, and handcuffed to her bedposts, Alex slipped the much-prized folder into his great auntie’s purse and then silenced the munchkin with a bowl of full-sized candy bars. Mission accomplished!

Days of our Lives Recap: Poke and Prod

Pot stirrer par excellence Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) took great delight in needling Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and his poor life choices and driving home the fact that he and Sarah Horton Cook (Linsey Godfrey) were staying at the Kiriakis mansion by his grace and his grace alone, and still, he was surprised when Xander blew his top, packed his and Sarah’s belongings, and made tracks for parts unknown. Surely it wasn’t something that he’d said.

DOOL Recap: Contrary Advise

The late, not great, not missed nor mourned Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) had his work cut out for him. Despite his need to nudge Ava into revenging herself upon EJ, she was steadfastly holding on to her hard-earned reformation — or what passes as a reformation for the woman who killed kindly old Shawn Brady, raped and terrorized Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and his family, and who just recently framed her unfaithful live-in lover for corruption and broke her pseudo-bestie out of prison.

Still, Charlie persisted. After all, could Ava really see herself living in dreary, drippy Seattle with her golden-haired boy and his half-brother who, not so coincidentally, attempted to murder her a few years back? And what would she even do with her time? Work at a coffee shop? Give tours of the Space Needle?

DAYS Recap Ava and Charlie

It was a pretty persuasive speech, and soon Ava’s resolve crumbled. Okay, she was in. Revenge it is. But how to go about achieving it? Luckily Charlie had the answer: target someone that EJ loves…and who does a man love more than his mommy?

DAYS Recap: Danger Warning

Speaking of EJ’s mommy…Susan was on the scene and harping on and on about one of her famous premonitions. Something bad, bad, bad is coming for EJ. But have no fear, she’s sticking around to help him out! She’ll suss out the malcontent with ease, and then everything will be hunky dory.

After having a long think, EJ wondered if perhaps it was Johhny DiMera (Carson Boatman) who was after him, but Susan’s intuition said uh-uh, no way. Of course, Johnny is out to get his father — guess everybody has an off day.

Days of our Lives Recap: Kid Whisperer

After finding some comfort with Chad, who was more than eager to offer her a sympathetic ear, a strong, dry shoulder, and some red licorice bites, Stephanie found herself called to service when Charlotte DiMera awoke from a nightmare and took a liking to her mommy’s favorite cousin. Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher) also seemed pretty okay with the pretty stranger-cum-recently discovered relative. Chad was suitably impressed by Stephanie’s work, and he was surprised by how sad he was to see her go.
