DAYS Recap For November 22: Wendy and Johnny Turn The Tables On Rolf

The DAYS recap for Tuesday, November 22, 2022, sees the tables being turned and good triumphing over Evil…in Indonesia anyway. Back in Salem, things were as bad as ever.

In this episode, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) admirably, and successfully, fought for their lives, Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) made a roundabout confession to his missus, Chole Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) and Stefan O. DiMera (Brandon Barash) cleared the air between them, and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) suffered the consequences of his actions. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.

Days of our Lives Recap: Forget Me Not

In want of marching orders — though he was partial to the idea of removing his victim’s vocal cords and placing them in a robot — Dr. Wilhelm “Crazier Than A Common Loon” Rolf (Richard Wharton) called Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) and filled him on a few facts, namely that he had Li’s sister and EJ’s pesky son strapped to gurneys and that they were well aware of Stefan’s conditioning.

Li ordered Rolf to wipe the youths’ memories and the madman set about complying with the help of Formula CRS 17 — fancy science talk for “Can’t Remember…Stuff”.

Much to Rolf’s chagrin, Johnny managed to free first one hand, and then his other, then Wendy. In tandem, Johnny and Wendy dodged the flailing needle of forgetfulness, KO’d Rolf, and placed him in the same predicament from which they’d escaped. That’ll show him!

DOOL Recap: Coming Clean

Xander has got some ‘splaining to do, and he does…conditionally. He admits to Sarah Horton Cook (Linsey Godfrey) that he did a bad, bad thing, but rather than confess to kidnapping Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) on Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) orders, he says he quit the job he acquired a day previous — not much of a lie — because his female boss wanted him to do something wholly unethical — again, not much of a stretch.

Sarah praised her hubby for being a good and decent man and took him to bed as a reward. All was right…for the time being, anyway.

DAYS Recap: Dereliction Of Duty

Despite pulling out all the stops, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) couldn’t forestall Ava driving herself and Susan off a cliff at the behest of a vision of her least favorite son. He also couldn’t prevent EJ from crawling down said cliff in the hopes of rescuing his mother from the subsequent fireball that erupted from the damaged vehicle — try though he did — nor could he keep EJ from stalking off from the crime scene after his efforts failed, despite being the Commissioner of Police.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Take The Hint

Hoping to cap their night of merriment by gifting his ladylove her favorite sweet treat, Stefan was put out to find Sweet Bits closed for the night — then again, in light of one of the owners being arrested for murder, why should he have been surprised?

Stefan was further thrown when he and Chloe crossed paths with Gabi Hernandez No-Longer-DiMera (Camila Banus), and she took it upon herself to invite them to her and Li’s wedding. She’d just love for them to come.

After having a think, Stefan decided that they would indeed darken the festivities, and Chloe wanted to know what for. Why was Stefan so determined to hurt Gabi? Also, is he so thick that he can’t see that Gabi’s still not over him? Do what now, asked Stefan.

DOOL Recap: Bad News Travels Fast-ish

Susan is dead. D-E-A-D. At least that’s what quite a few Salemites are led to believe. EJ tells that to Chloe and Stefan — a mood killer if there ever was one — while Sarah fills in Xander. Aside from Johnny and Wendy, the only ones known to be in the dark are Gabi and Li, and that’s because they’re too busy disagreeing about how to best handle Johnny and Wendy, those kooky, crazy kids who “played hooky from work” so they could vacay for the day in Indonesia. Oh, and Ava’s dead too.
