Sarah Horton Cook is having a terrible time on Days of our Lives as she fights off roaches in the dingy hotel room that seems to be the only place she and Xander Cook can find to live in these days.

Sure, Xander stormed out of the Kiriakis mansion after Uncle Victor Kiriakis disrespected him one too many times – and took his new bride with him. And, sure, they can’t go back to the Salem Inn because Xander still owes money there. But are we really supposed to believe that these are there only two options?
DOOL: Horton House
Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) is a Horton. Her dad, Mickey, was Julie Williams’s (Susan Seaforth Hayes) uncle. Are we supposed to believe that Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) and Julie couldn’t make room for the couple in their home? It’s not like Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) would mind. He’s one of the few people in Salem who actually likes Xander!
Days of our Lives: Brady Pub
Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) is always happy to rent out a room above his restaurant. So many people have lived there already, and now that Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) is practically moved into Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughn) place, there’s a free bedroom. Sarah and Xander can move in there. The rent has got to be less than at the Salem Inn. After all, it doesn’t have as many amenities. On the other hand, we bet it also has fewer roaches.

Xander and Sarah: Home Sweet DAYS Home
Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) wasn’t always living the high and mighty life. Whatever happened to the house where Maggie and Mickey raised Sarah? Is she renting it out, or is it just standing empty? Can’t she move her daughter in there?
Sure, Xander doesn’t even want Sarah taking money from Maggie, because he doesn’t want her to think Xander can’t take care of her little girl. But that’s a pretty sexist attitude. Xander never minded living off women before. Remember his scheme with Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens)? Time to go back to being the mooching progressive he used to be.
