The DAYS recap for Thursday, November 17, 2022, is a sterling example of the best-laid plans of mice and men going awry.

DAYS Recap Highlights

In this episode, Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) get the goods on Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton), and he does not thank them for it. Elsewhere, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) makes his case to Jada Hunter (Eila Cantu), Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) opinion of Nicole Walker Hernandez (Arianne Zucker) drops even further, Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) begins to panic, and Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) finds herself in want of an explanation. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.

Days of our Lives Recap: Ja-Got-To-Be-Kidding-Me

For a time, everything went swimmingly. A miked-up Wendy pierced Rolf’s inner sanctum and easily extracted from him the truth about Li’s involvement in Stefan O. DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) brainwashing — or, conditioning, as the madman likes to term it…but then she kept on pushing in the hope of incriminating EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) as well.

DAYS Recap Johnny and Wendy

Rolf smelled a rat, his sensors picked up some interference, and just like that, Wendy was rumbled and sedated for her efforts. Johnny burst into the room intent on rescuing his sleuthing buddy, but he, too, ran afoul of Rolf. Dun, dun, dun!

DOOL Recap: Blame Game

Back in Salem, Li fretted that his little sister was about to expose his chicanery. Enter Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) to pointedly point out that, despite her involvement in the whole sordid affair, should the truth come out, it would be Li’s head on the chopping block.

After all, people are used to her breaking bad. They wouldn’t even bat an eyelash, really. But Li’s supposedly the good guy, Gabi Hernandez No-Longer-DiMera’s (Camila Banus) knight in shining armor and all that. There will be consequences a plenty for him.

DAYS Recap: Rinse And Repeat

Boy does Nicole have an update for Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). Not only is her personal life in shambles, but her efforts to reunite with the love of her life have been stymied by the revelation that he knocked up his lady friend. Is it possible, even conceivable that this is Karma come to collect? Is Nicole being punished for a lifetime of bad decisions?

Perish the thought, declares Brady. This is nothing but a blip. Jada and Eric will sort things out between them to everyone’s mutual satisfaction — aren’t Brady, Nicole, and Eric living proof that it’s unconventional families who actually make the world go round? — and wedding bells will soon be chiming for “Ericole.” Just you wait and see!

Days of our Lives Brady, Nicole and Rafe

That all made Nicole feel much, much better. So much so that she pulled Brady into a big hug just as Rafe walked in. He always seems to be catching her in the arms of a man who isn’t him. Funny that. Or not, depending on who you are. But boy is it fun to watch bitter, angry Rafe rip Nicole a new one. This is a side of Rafe that is fun to see! Well…maybe not for Nicole.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Clear As Mud

After getting straight that he absolutely hates her and that she absolutely hates him, Gabi and Stefan got down to the business of straightening a few other things out.

Firstly, Stefan’s not at all pleased — but he’s also not put-out in the slightest (how does that work, exactly?) — that Gabi and Li have set New Year’s Eve as their wedding date. Secondly, Gabi is pretty put-out that a) Chloe has been promoted to upper management, which will have her in Stefan’s orbit, and b) Chloe and Stefan are cautiously working their way back to one another. But she also doesn’t care, not one little bit. Again, how does that work, exactly?

DOOL Recap: Papa, Don’t Preach

Eric may not be interested in building a life with Jada, but he sure would love to co-parent the baby that they created together…would she be amenable to that? If not, Eric totally understands. Jada’s body, Jada’s choice. But Eric would really love to be a father for the first time — and no, stepchildren don’t count.
