The DAYS recap for Friday, November 11, 2022, sees an inconvenient fact stymieing any and all hopes of an ‘Ericole’ reunion — and they were thisclose.
In this episode, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) learn that they have a baby on board while Nicole Walker Hernandez (Arianne Zucker) dispenses with the baggage that is her husband. Additionally, Bonnie Lockhart Kiriakis (Judi Evans) runs afoul of Susan Banks’s (Stacy Haiduk) kidnappers, and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) conscripts an unwitting Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) into her war with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
After spying Eric and Nicole in a passionate clinch, Jada retired to the Brady Pub, where she exchanged semi-pleasantries with Rafe, and listened to him drone on and on about the travesty that is Eric and Nicole modeling together — oh, if only he knew! — then promptly fainted.
Given that this is a soap opera, it should come as no surprise that the explanation for Jada’s spell was a pregnancy and not something as simple as low blood sugar.

The news of baby boy Brady — or baby boy Hunter, whichever Jada chooses to go with — couldn’t have come at a worse time for all parties involved, especially when one considers that: Jada was ready to kick Eric’s behind to the curb for macking on his ex, Eric was ready to gently sever ties with Jada, and Nicole just confessed to her husband that she’s ready to call it quits so that she and Eric can reunite.
After finding Susan in quite the predicament and after disabusing her of the notion that she was Adrienne Johnson Kiriakis sent by God as divine intervention, Bonnie Lockhart Kiriakis (Judi Evans) set about freeing the loon from the literal ties that bound her — but no sooner had she started than she was set upon by the “muscle clown” that had imprisoned Susan in the first place.
In short order, Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) had Bonnie trussed up equally as snug as the woman he was actually hired to kidnap, and via her cellphone, he was able to stage her departure to Chicago. And while Xander toiled making trouble for himself, Sarah Horton Cook (Linsey Godfrey) bigged up his supposed job at pharmaceutical startup Rednax to Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston). He was not impressed. Not in the slightest. But he did pretend so that Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) wouldn’t banish him from their bed and consign him to the garden shed. Compromise is a lovely thing.
Ava was horrified to learn of Tripp Johnson’s (Lucas Adams) predicament, but not so horrified as to drown out “Charlie’s” (Mike Manning) advice that she figure out a way to power through and turn the tables on the man who turned them on her.
To that end, she phoned Steve, who’d just encouraged Rafe to be open and honest with Nicole about how he was feeling — look where that got him; dumped — and arranged a meeting. Once they were face-to-face, Ava revealed that Tripp was in grave danger and that it was all big bad EJ’s fault. Never fear, assured Steve. He’ll rescue Tripp…even if he doesn’t believe for one single solitary second that EJ snatched the young man, “just cause.”
Marrying Maggie was the best thing that ever happened to him, declared Victor; Maggie concurred, and with very little prompting. Here’s to another anniversary, and 11 more!
