The DAYS recap for Tuesday, December 27, 2022, backs up the theory that there’s really no such thing as coincidence.

DAYS Recap Highlights

In this episode, the walls close in and collapse on top of Xander Cook (Paul Telfer). Elsewhere, a horrified Will Horton (Chandler Massey) took his husband to task, Paulina Price Carver (Jackée Harry) getting yet another Christmas miracle, and Stephanie Johnson’s (Abigail Klein) and Alexander Neil Kiriakis’s (Robert Scott Wilson) walk to the bedroom being stymied yet again. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.

Days of our Lives Recap: What Is In A Name?

Turns out Bonnie Lockhart Kiriakis (Judi Evans) is good at word puzzles, great even. Might be the Salem-based champion — and that’s bad news for Xander and Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) since Bonnie easily deduced that Rednax, the shady company that Xander supposedly resigned from, was Xander spelled backward.

And while this revelation resulted in Bonnie theorizing that Gwen dummied up the company in order to mask the fact that she and Xander were having an affair, Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) drew his own conclusion: Xander was Bonnie’s and Susan Banks’s (Stacy Haiduk) kidnapper, Gwen is well aware of the fact, and Rednax was created to throw them off the scent. Dun Dun Dun.

At exactly the same time, a suspicious Sarah Horton Cook (Linsey Godfrey) trailed her hubs and was more than a little disappointed to find him scheming with Gwen. When confronted, Xander finally caved and confessed all. Sarah accused him of having Susan’s blood on his hands and handed over her secondary Christmas present — two tickets to Greece — to her love rival. May she and Xander be miserable together forever!

DAYS Recap Sonny, Will, Leo

DOOL Recap: Agree To Disagree

Though he wasn’t too sure what had him more steamed — Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) half-dressed in Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) presence or Sonny in Leo’s presence period — Will did know that he was itching for a fight…and Sonny gave just as good as he got.

What do you think? Post a comment!

Who is Will, who’d already broken Sonny’s heart by swearing that he wouldn’t be returning to Salem for the holiday season, to yell at him for, of all things, helping a person in need? And sure, Leo nearly tore them asunder once or twice, but Leo has changed-ish, and the two of them are friends now…ish. Will is just going to have to get over it. And if he doesn’t, he can always hit the road and go back to L.A….which is apparently what Will does. So much for a happy reunion.

DAYS Recap: Family Planning

Despite initially fearing that the knock at their front door was Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) on another tear, Paulina and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) were thrilled to see Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and his two little bundles of joy.

DAYS Recap Twins, Eli, Abe, Paulina

After briefly discussing poor, imprisoned Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers), and upon being apprised of the latest goings on, Eli offered to go all G-man on Sloan’s behind, but Abe and Paulina decided that they’d rather let the matter drop — for now — and instead focus on celebrating Christmas, wishing Jules and Carver a very happy birthday, and ringing in the New Year as one big happy family.

DOOL Recap: Best Laid Plans

After gifting Stephanie a Christmas tree that was only slightly less sad than the one she’d picked out and trimmed herself, Alex presented her with her present: a brand-new gaming system…and since none of her kin was around to challenge her, Alex gave it the old college try. He failed miserably…and at every game they played.

Luckily for Alex, his talents lie *ahem* elsewhere, and Stephanie was *ahem* in the mood to indulge him — but only if they were *ahem* safe about it. Off to the drugstore, Alex flew, but between his exit and quick return, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) had swung by and dampened Stephanie’s ardor with his tale of widower woe. As a result, Chad earned himself an invitation to Stephanie and Alex’s party for two and the men wound up enjoying each other’s company. Wonders apparently never will cease.
