The Days of our Lives recaps for August 29 – September 2, 2022, feature another slashing, humiliation, reconciliation, the counting of chickens before they’ve hatched, and so much more.
Milo Harp, alias Orpheus (George DelHoyo), put in an appearance at Roman Brady’s (Josh Taylor) impromptu birthday party and sets the assemblage on edge. Afterward, he arranges Kate Roberts’s (Lauren Koslow) kidnapping and depository beside Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) and Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans).
Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) are tickled by Alexander Neil Kiriakis’s (Robert Scott Wilson) assertion that he’s met “the one.” Elsewhere, Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein), the subject of Alex’s ardor, accepts Sonny Kiriakis’s (Zach Tinker) job offer – but on the strict agreement that she has no contact with Alex. Sonny advises his brother to cool his jets, then privately convinces himself that Alex will soon lose interest.
Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) tells Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) about Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) threat to stab her with a letter opener. This galvanizes Brady to seek full custody of Rachel (Finley Rose Slater)… Kristen demands that Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) speed up his efforts to condition Stefan O. DiMera (Brandon Barash) to lust after Chloe.
Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) catches Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) mourning her beloved Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) and offers her a shoulder to cry on. Ava shares with Johnny her conviction that she saw Jake alive and well… Johnny praises EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) for his handling of Ava; unbeknownst to Johnny, EJ is planning a coup against Ava and Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus)… Wei Shin (Michael Hagiwara) catches Gabi and Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) in flagrante.
Johnny foils EJ’s plot to evict Gabi from the top spot at DiMera Enterprises and his efforts to have Ava evicted from the DiMera manse… Rolf experimented on Stefan… Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) and Belle Brady (Martha Madison) achieve rapprochement… Chloe earns herself Rachel’s enmity when she agrees to testify against Kristen on Brady’s behalf. After calming his daughter, Brady promises that he’ll find an alternate course of action.
Steve, John, and Roman work together to successfully free their imperiled loves; Orpheus privately promises that the game has just begun… Alex clues Stephanie in when she makes merry with Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart)… Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) swears blind that she’s not responsible for Abigail Deveraux DiMera’s (Marci Miller) murder; Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) is dubious.
Leo issues Sonny a (seemingly) heartfelt apology; Sonny cautiously accepts but makes clear that he’ll never trust his former tormentor. Leo briefly takes his leave of Sonny, but upon returning he finds him lying on the floor with a letter opener protruding from his back!
Chloe puts Nicole Walker Hernandez (Arianne Zucker) in her place: she’s a married woman with no rights to Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan)… Chad finds Leo hovering over Sonny’s injured frame; he jumps to the conclusion that Leo has attempted yet another murder. Leo comes to the conclusion that he’s being framed… News of Sonny’s injury begins to disseminate.
