The Days of our Lives recaps for January 30 – February 3, 2023, featured tomfoolery, trickery, tender feelings being expressed, and so much more.
Jack (Matthew Ashford) gives Gwen (Emily O’Brien) an ultimatum: testify against Xander (Paul Telfer) or be disowned. Gwen chooses the latter…Leo (Greg Rikaart) warns Xander that he plans to rat him out to authorities. Xander throttles Leo until he swears to do otherwise…Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) has Justin (Wally Kurth) draw up a divorce decree which she then presents to Xander.
Stefan (Brandon Barash) manages to reach his phone and accept an incoming call from Statesville, but Vivian proves uninterested in coming to her son’s aid. Gabi (Camila Banus) arrives and convinces Vivian that deprogramming Stefan is the way to go.
Jack encourages Chad (Billy Flynn) to find love again…At Sarah’s urging, Xander signs the divorce papers…Gwen pays Xander a visit; he pulls her into a passionate clinch…Paulina (Jackée Harry) tears a strip of Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) for turning off Stephanie’s (Abigail Klein) phone, then advises him on the proper way to say, ‘I’m sorry’…Despite Dr. Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) warning that the procedure to reverse Stefan’s brainwashing could result in the patient’s death, Gabi orders that he proceed. During the process, the machines malfunction.
Stefan awakens with his affection for Gabi restored. The rub? He’s still enamored of Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) as well…Sarah adds her Jane Hancock to the divorce documents…Gwen apprises Xander of her sacrifice. The two of them make love…Chad tells Stephanie that he’d like to try and move forward with her. Alex catches the two in an intimate moment and ditches his apology paraphernalia.
Wendy (Victoria Grace) awakens to Allie (Lindsay Arnold) escorting Alex out of the apartment. Allie swears that nothing untoward transpired between them…Paulina offers Chanel (Raven Bowens) some tough love and spurs her into returning to Allie. Hopes of reconciliation are squashed when Chanel finds Alex’s discarded underwear.
Xander and Gwen make a point of rubbing the night they spent together in Sarah’s face…Wendy expresses delight when she learns that Tripp (Lucas Adams) will be sticking around for the long haul…Chad and Steph agree that they don’t regret the night they spent together and that they hope it’s the start of many more. Steve (Stephen Nichols) treats the two to a homecooked — and awkward — breakfast… Despite herself, Steph reads Alex’s missive.
Steve floats the idea of murdering Orpheus (George DelHoyo); Roman (Josh Taylor) and John (Drake Hogestyn) agree to assist…Sarah takes Xander and Gwen to task…Xander and Gwen decide to take Salem by storm…The Devil manipulates Marlena (Deidre Hall), Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), and Kate (Lauren Koslow) into signing away certain inalienable rights.
