The Days of our Lives recaps for July 10 – July 14, 2023, featured changes of address, not-so-secret assignations, a secret rumbled, and so much more.
Chad (Billy Flynn) and Stephanie (Abigail Klein) snag their own apartment. Much to their chagrin, Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) moves in across the way…. Chad accepts Maggie’s (Suzanne Rogers) offer to join her at Titan.
Gwen (Emily O’Brien) stumbles upon Xander (Paul Telfer) and Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) making love in the executive office. Gwen rubs her engagement in Xander’s face…. Dimitri (Peter Porte) convinces Leo of his attraction to him. The two make love. Leo agrees to keep the tryst (and any future rendezvous) secret from Gwen. Unbeknownst to the men, Rachel Black (Finely Rose Slater) — who’d made tracks from her summer camp in an effort to see Kirsten (Stacy Haiduk) — spies on their clinch.
Marlena (Deidre Hall) manages to break Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) conditioning of Harris (Steve Burton). Harris implores Marlena to commit him to Bayview…. Due to Harris’s statement Melinda (Tina Huang) is left with no choice but to free Li Shin (Remington Hoffman).
Wendy (Victoria Grace) decides it’s finally time for her to make a choice between Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Tripp (Lucas Adams). Opposite this, the two men verbally spar…. Melinda rumbles that Shawn (Brandon Beemer) has been drinking on the job. She calls for his immediate dismissal, but Rafe (Galen Gering) suspends him instead.
Marlena agrees to commit Harris…. Wendy chooses Tripp…. Acting Mayor Clint Rawlings (Grayson Berry) puts Chanel (Raven Bowens) on notice then fires Rafe upon learning of his involvement with Jada (Elia Cantu)…. Shawn finally accepts he has a problem and avails himself of Marlena’s help.
Salem lays Abe (James Reynolds) to rest…. Whitley (Kim Coles) reveals to Jerry (Terrell Ransom Jr.) that she is moving and taking Abe with her; she offers him a big payoff on the proviso that he leave town as well…. A disbelieving Lani (Sal Stowers) heads for Jerry’s abode, stymieing his bid for freedom…. Marlena, acting on Brady’s (Eric Martsolf) behalf, implores Kristen to return Rachel. Kristen intimates that she’ll return Rachel for a price…. A sedated Abe finds himself pulled into an episode of Body and Soul.
Jerry makes a clean breast of things to Lani…. The various storylines on Body and Soul trigger Abe’s memories. Lani bursts into Whitley’s apartment and discovers her father…. Marlena encourages Brady to acquiesce to Kristen’s demands, for Rachel’s sake. Instead, Brady tears up a revised version of his and Kristen’s arrangement that allowed joint custody of Rachel.
