Days of our Lives Recaps: Monday, December 20

A possessed Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) awakens Jan Spears (Heather Lindell); Jan happily agrees to help the Devil tear Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) and Belle Brady (Martha Madison) asunder. When Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) catches the two conspiring, “Marlena” uses her powers to substitute him for Jan.

Belle opinions that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) is the one framing Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) for Philip Kiriakis’s (Jay Kenneth Johnson) murder…Philip realizes that his vendetta against Brady is the result of a misunderstanding.

DAYS Recaps: Tuesday, December 21

Philip reveals himself to a stunned Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo). Lucas admits that he was the one who kidnapped Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney)…Lani Grant (Sal Stowers) soundly rejected Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) attempt at rapprochement.

Kate apprises Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) of Philip’s predicament. In an effort to see Brady freed, they reverse their position on having Philip declared legally dead…Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) announce their marriage; Sami, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), and Paulina are aghast.

DOOL Recaps: Wednesday, December 22

Johnny and Chanel are stung when no one rejoices at their news. Johnny’s harsh rebuke of his parents leaves them chastened. EJ confesses that he doesn’t really want to divorce Sami…Jan and “Marlena” lure Shawn to the Salem Inn, where the former – glamoured to look like Belle – works to seduce him…Kate arranges for Philip to receive psychiatric treatment outside of Salem. While she distracts Roman Brady (Josh Taylor), Philip makes his exit.

Days of our Lives Recaps: Thursday, December 23

Sami and EJ recommit themselves to one another…Lucas convinces Jason (Noel Gugliemi), one of the men he hired to guard Sami, to blame the kidnapping on EJ, whom Rafe promptly arrests…Jan succeeds in convincing Shawn to make love to her; Belle is directed to the Salem Inn and finds the two together…Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) join Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) and Julie Olson Williams (Susan Seaforth-Hayes) chez Horton. “Marlena” intrudes on the quad’s holiday revelry.

DOOL Recaps: Friday, December 24

Shawn places Jan under arrest; she delights in drawing Belle’s attention to the fact that she’ll never get over the sight of Jan and Shawn making love…Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) locate Tripp, and will him back to consciousness…Gabriel (Mark Colson) arms John Black (Drake Hogestyn) with a blessed St. Benedict medal and steers him towards the Horton house. John battles with – and eventually bests – “Marlena.” …Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) returns from Boston much to her family’s delight.
