Eric (temporary recast Jason Gerhardt), EJ (Dan Feuerriegel), and Xander (Paul Telfer) proposed to, respectively, Sloan (Jessica Serfaty), Nicole (Arianne Zucker), and Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin). All but Chloe accept…. Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) learns that Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) is pregnant and deduces that Xander is the father. Sarah swears her mother to secrecy…. Illicit lovers Leo (Greg Rikaart) and Dimitri (Peter Porte) narrowly avoid being caught by Gwen (Emily O’Brien). Dimitri reveals that he’s booked Leo a room at the hotel he and Gwen will be honeymooning in.
DAYS Recaps: Tuesday, August 8
Acting Mayor Clint Rawlins (Grayson Berry) personally sees to it that Sweet Bits is shuttered. Later, he presents Shawn (Brandon Beemer) with an offer: take over Rafe’s (Galen Gering) old job or he’s fired…. Talia (Aketra Sevillian) uses her session with Marlena (Deidre Hall) to discuss her confusing feelings for Chanel (Raven Bowens)…. At Bay View, a hallucinating Ava (Tamara Braun) mistakes Harris (Steve Burton) for Charlie and rages at him.
DOOL Recaps: Wednesday, August 9
Johnny (Carson Boatman) plays sounding board for Chanel. Talia announces to Chanel that she has feelings for her, then takes off…. After some encouragement (and pleading) from Paulina (Jackée Harry), Abe (James Reynolds) resolves to reclaim the mayorship…. Harris and Ava hit it off and he encourages her to reach out to Tripp (Lucas Adams). Ava does just that which rather hampers Tripp and Wendy’s (Victoria Grace) romantic night in.

Chad’s (Billy Flynn) and Alex’s (Robert Scott Wilson) “gentlemen’s agreement” blows up in both their faces…. John (Drake Hogestyn) rumbles Brady’s (Eric Martsolf) plan to bundle up Rachel (Finley Rose Slater) and run and manages to talk him around. Kristen is heartened to be reunited with her daughter…. Jada’s (Elia Cantu) railing at Shawn’s promotion leads to an awkward run-in between the pair.

Chloe and Belle (Martha Madison) clash over the latter’s entertaining Xander’s proposal. Xander and Brady clash over much the same…. Stephanie and Chad (Billy Flynn) got to the root of the latter’s issues…. Rex (Kyle Lowder) pops the question to Sarah…. Maggie tells Bonnie (Judi Evans) she’s been clued into Sarah’s deceptions…. The Kiriakises (sans Brady) gather to welcome Victor back home. Justin (Wally Kurth) announces to the stunned assemblage that Victor’s plane is missing.
