Days of our Lives Recaps: Monday, January 9
Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) called Kate Roberts Brady’s (Lauren Koslow) time of death…With Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) fading fast, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) doubles his efforts to alert Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein). He eventually tracks her down to the Kiriakis compound and interrupts her and Alexander Neil Kiriakis’s (Robert Scott Wilson) afterglow.
Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) checks in on Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and cautions him against hardening his heart…News of Kate’s death disseminates. When word reaches Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) he attacks Orpheus (George DelHoyo); John Black (Drake Hogestyn) steps into the fray. Later, Orpheus hands alcoholic Lucas a “peace offering” — a bottle of whiskey…Kayla says her goodbyes to Joey Johnson (Tanner Stine) and Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) over the phone and then passes away. Stephanie arrives seconds later. Alex realizes that he cost Stephanie the chance of bidding her mother adieu.
DAYS Recaps: Tuesday, January 10
Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) admitted to Stefan O. DiMera (Brandon Barash) that he knew about the brainwashing that Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) subjected him to. Afterward, Johnny tells Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) where he can find Rolf.
Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) reaches out to Gabi Hernandez Shin (Camila Banus) and is summarily rebuked…Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) resigns from her position at DiMera Enterprises…Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) decides to put some distance between herself and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel).
Eric holds Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) at gunpoint and demands the return of the orchid. Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) talks his brother into standing down; Kristen expresses her gratitude. Brady evicts Kristen from the family home. Kristen deposits herself at the DiMera manse much to EJ’s chagrin.

DOOL Recaps: Wednesday, January 11
Li begs his little sister to intercede with Gabi on his behalf. Wendy’s (Victoria Grace) efforts are for naught…Stefan tells Gabi that he now believes her claims that he was brainwashed but adds that it doesn’t change his feelings for her. Gabi manages to convince him to have the conditioning reversed. Rafe informs Gabi and Stefan that Rolf is nowhere to be found…Kristen blackmails her way into a room at Chez DiMera…Nicole and Eric had a set-to in the Horton Townsquare.
Days of our Lives Recaps: Thursday, January 12
Alex admits to Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) that he unintentionally prevented Stepanie from being with her mother during her final hours. Sonny pushes his brother to come clean…Stephanie deduces that Alex was the one who turned her phone off and confronts him.
Lucas clued Rex Brady in on Philip Kiriakis’s location and turns over the bottle of booze that Orpheus presented him…Abe (James Reynolds) and Paulina (Jackée Harry) rally around Roman who’s taken to talking to Kate’s ashes…Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) offers her sympathies to both Roman and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols)…Abe reaches out to Steve.
DAYS Recaps: Friday, January 13
Alex throws himself on Stephanie’s mercy. She responds by throwing him out…Chad takes Sonny to task for putting any stock into Leo Starks’ (Greg Rikaart) going legit…Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) launches a civil lawsuit against Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) and Paulina and personally delivers the papers to the former…Leo cautions Gwen (Emily O’Brien) to turn on Xander Cook (Paul Telfer). Will Horton (Chandler Massey) eavesdrops on a conversation between Leo and Sloan.
