Days of our Lives Recaps: Monday, September 4
Theresa (Jen Lilley) puts the moves on Brady (Eric Martsolf), but he pulls back and insists to her that there is no future in which they reunite…. Ava (Tamara Braun) agrees to undergo hypnosis in an effort to unlock the secret that spectral Susan (Stacy Haiduk) insists that she’s keeping. Despite claiming the session had no effect, Ava later confides in Harris (Steve Burton) that she remembers seeing Susan alive and well and away from the car before it exploded.
Marlena (Deidre Hall) sends John (Drake Hogestyn) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) off to uncover “John Doe’s” real identity. They discover via his VA file that his name is Joseph Bell and that he served in the same army unit as John’s biological father…. Mr. Bell (Dick Van Dyke) makes Doug (Bill Hayes) and Julie’s (Susan Seaforth Hayes) acquaintance and the trio delight hospital staff with an impromptu song and dance number. Mr. Bell notes that the name Tommy Horton rings familiar.

EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) sics an assassin on Ava and Xander (Paul Telfer). Ava and Harris get the drop on gun-toting Joyce…. Eric (Greg Vaughan) referees Xander and Theresa…. Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) suggests to Eric that they adopt a baby…. Despite swearing to Rex (Kyle Lowder) that he has no plans to meddle in Chloe’s (Nadia Bjorlin) affairs, Philip’s (John-Paul Lavoisier) actions make it clear that he’s not over his ex.

After she wings Joyce, Ava and Harris bust out of Bayview…. Talia (Aketra Sevillian) is welcomed aboard the University Hospital staff — on a provisional basis…. Tripp (Lucas Adams) and Wendy (Victoria Grace) finally find the right moment to make love…. At EJ’s urging, Johnny (Carson Boatman) shoots his shot at Chanel (Raven Bowens) who’s left flabbergasted to find herself the center of yet another love triangle.

Chelsea (guest star Rachel Melvin) returns for Victor’s intimate memorial service…. Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) gatecrashes the mourners’ reception…. Theresa sets her sights on Alex (Robert Scott Wilson)…. Shawn (Brandon Beemer) bristles and turns to drink when Belle (Martha Madison) offers Philip compassion…. Sarah goes into labor.
DAYS Recaps: Friday, September 8
During a convo with John, “John Doe” is suddenly hit with a flood of memories. HE’S the real Timothy Robicheaux; HE’S John’s biological father… Sarah delivers a healthy baby girl and then slips into unconsciousness…. Victor’s will is reported destroyed. Vivian crows that, as Victor died intestate, SHE stands to inherit the lot as his surviving spouse. Turns out those pesky divorce papers were never properly filed!
