In this historical Days of our Lives recap, originally penned by Amber Sinclair, it’s June 2, 2020, a day of homecomings in Salem. Gabi Hernandez DiMera is out on bail, Victor Kiriakis is released from the hospital, Maggie Horton Kiriakis’s conviction is overturned, and a former baddie is ready for her second chance.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan) is back, at least she wants to be. She called up her grandma for help getting an early release. The request blindsided Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) but hey, everyone else is coming back, so why not try?
Days of our Lives Recap: June 2, 2020
Speaking of Marlena, she calmed Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) down after catching her going ballistic on Victor (John Aniston). She took the doctor out of the room and broke down all the reasons why Sarah was so hurt and angry (and why she had every right to be). The worst part? Sarah is still in love with Xander Cook (Paul Telfer).
Xander was with Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) as she waited to hear her fate. (Of course, he wasn’t just there for her, he was there to gain sympathy too.) Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) was in the courtroom (off-screen) pleading for her release and yes, he got it. Maggie was able to come home!
Maggie came through the door minutes after Sonny Kiriakis (then, Freddie Smith; now, Zach Tinker), and Will Horton (Chandler Massey) brought Victor home. He was in quite a foul mood for a man who cheated death. At least until Maggie was there. It was a sort-of joyous reunion.
DOOL Historical Recap: Out And About
Will and Sonny finally sat Ari down to talk about Gabi (Camila Banus). Luckily, they didn’t have to because she made an appearance. She was out on bail.
Unfortunately, Gabi did not learn her lesson. She immediately resumed her mission to prove Jake (Brandon Barash) was Stefan O. DiMera despite WilSon’s pleas to lay low. She dropped Ari off at school and made a beeline for the garage to steal Jake’s toothbrush. Gabi’s mission was derailed when she was caught by one of Jake’s co-workers.
Meanwhile, Jake opened up to Ben (Robert Scott Wilson). Yes, he got mixed up with bad people, but he had his reasons. Those thugs are really after his ex who disappeared on him months ago (because she stole something he had stolen from them). In fact, he came to Salem to try to find her, which is how he landed in this strange town. Ben agreed to help him find her.
Days of our Lives Recap: Brady’s Ultimate Revenge
Over at Titan, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) made a good show of playing CEO, even in front of his suspicious dad. John Black (Drake Hogestyn) was sure he had alternative motives. He was right but Brady remained tight-lipped. Secretly he was plotting on taking down the company and Victor in one fell swoop.
