In the Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, December 20, 2023, Theresa dragged her big brother into her mess and got rewarded for doing so. Because of course, she did.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
In addition, Maggie made things worse between her and Alex, Konstantin began worming his way back into the Widow Kiriakis’s life, Sarah suggested she and Xander change things up, and Jada accepted a most appreciated gift from Rafe. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what happened.
Family First
While Theresa (Emily O’Brien) was thrilled to see Andrew (Colton Little), he couldn’t muster the same feeling. Mostly because he has it on good authority — and photographic evidence — that she was the one who kidnapped Victoria Margaret. What has she gotten herself into this time?
Theresa swore it wasn’t what Andrew thought. She was just trying to do Konstantin (John Kapelos) a solid. To pay him back for being so kind to her in Greece. They both thought he’d be hailed a hero and win Maggie’s (Suzanne Rogers) heart with his “heroic” deed. No harm was meant.

Andrew sighed. Yep, that sounds exactly like the kind of thing Theresa would get involved in. Internal debate ensued and ended with Andrew deciding to report that the ISA’s tech team couldn’t enhance the image of the kidnapper. Bu,t no more funny business. No more “Theresa antics.” From now on, she has to walk the straight and narrow. She’s got to stop getting involved in schemes that she knows are wrong. And, he’ll know if she doesn’t. He’ll be watching.
Man About Town
In the town square, with Konstantin eavesdropping nearby, Maggie relayed to Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) how much she missed Victor. It’s as if a piece of her heart is missing. And no, it has nothing to do with Konstantin moving out, despite what Sarah might think. (Riiiiiight.)
Once Sarah took her leave, Maggie took advantage of running into Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) to take him to task for relaunching Bella magazine and installing Theresa as EIC just because he was sleeping with her. In response, Alex, fresh off a stinging confrontation with Xander (Paul Telfer), who’d said much the same, decreed that he and Theresa would be skipping the Kiriakis Christmas bash. Why set himself up for yet another miserable experience?
Enter Konstantin to bolster Maggie’s spirits. He regaled her with tales of Christmas time in Greece and finagled an invitation to attend the annual Horton family tree trimming. Afterward, he called Theresa to issue yet more threats.
Phone Home
Meanwhile, Tripp (Lucas Adams) returned home from a long day and night at the hospital. Wendy (Victoria Grace) filled him in on some Chinese Yuletide traditions (like the giving of “peace apples”) and their belief that Santa plays the saxophone. That conjured memories of Li (relive his murder here) attempting to master the instrument before being shunned for his efforts by their father.
The two then readied to retire for the evening — after Wendy suggested hitting the bedroom rather than playing a round or two of Jenga. Unfortunately, the two were halted by a phone call from Wendy’s mother. Imagine Wendy’s surprise when it was demanded she return home.
Opposite, Xander and Sarah debated how to best divvy up time with Victoria Margaret during the holidays. In the end, it was decided that Xander would accompany the two to the Horton home.
Communication Is Key
At the police station, Jada (Elia Cantu) bemoaned her inability to solve Victoria Margaret’s kidnapping. Rafe (Galen Gering) shared her frustrations, but he was concerned with another mystery. Namely, is Jada going to move in with him, or not? Turns out not.
She’d been all gung-ho about the prospect, and then BOOM, Stephanie (Abigail Klein) and Chad’s (Billy Flynn) domestic arrangement blew up. It reminded her of moving too fast with her ex — “Bobby.” (Why does she know Everett’s name as Bobby?!) Surely that’s the Universe sending her a sign, a message. And it read: Don’t move too fast.
Rafe understood. Heck, maybe if he’d gone a little slower with some of the other women in his life, he could have avoided some heartache as well. He’s fine with Jada setting the pace of the relationship. He loves her and wants her to be at peace with the decisions that she makes.
That granted, Rafe then handed Jada a key to his apartment. That way she can come and go as she pleases. Merry Christmas!
