Allie Horton Channels Her Inner Sami Brady But Falls Short

In addition, Xander (Paul Telfer) concluded that, since nice guys finish last, he was going to double down on being a bad boy, and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) insisted that he wasn’t the bad guy in a complicated situation. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.

Allie Horton Ponders, Then Compounds, Her Big Mistake

Allie (Lindsay Arnold) emerged from her drunken stupor, hungover and filled to the brim with regret over her ill-advised hookup with Alex (Robert Scott Wilson). But first, she had to make doubly sure that it wasn’t just all a dream — a nightmare really. A naked Alex strutting out of her bathroom helped make things clear.

Oh G-d, what is Allie to do now? More to the point, what is wrong with her? She’s now a cheater twice over. First Tripp (Lucas Adams), now Chanel (Raven Bowens). Why can’t she keep her hands to either herself or the partner whom she’s with?

Don’t worry about it, offered Alex. What Chanel doesn’t know won’t hurt her. And it’s not like Allie plans on coming clean, right? RIGHT?!

Well…Allie’s torn. On the one hand, she doesn’t want to be a lying liar who lies about something as serious as fidelity; on the other, she doesn’t want to lose Chanel — and she most certainly would if the truth were to come out.

There’s your answer, offers Alex. Keep mum, and all will be right with the world. Besides, maybe Chanel hooked up with Johnny at the same time as Allie’s little whoopsie, which would make the girlfriends even. Surprise, surprise, that idea didn’t exactly appeal to Allie.

Anywho, Allie had made her decision in the vein of what would be expected of her mom, Sami Brady — silence it is! It was time to get Alex out of her apartment. But before they could achieve that goal, who should show up at the door but Chanel? Talk about bad timing.

DOOL Recap: Xander Resolves To Do Bad

While on his merry way to visit partners-in-crime Gwen (Emily O’Brien) and Leo (Greg Rikaart), Xander was waylaid by Johnny. Turns out the young man is still mighty peeved over the role Xander played in Susan’s (Stacy Haiduk) untimely passing, and he wants revenge. Sweet, sweet revenge. Xander’s suffering is the balm that can soothe his pain.

Would it help Johnny to know that Xander and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) are no longer husband and wife? Why yes, yes, it would. But that’s nowhere near enough. Johnny wants to see Xander behind bars for what he did. Maybe he could have a word with the Commissioner of Police, who just so happens to be his favorite stepfather — would Xander mind? Yes, yes, he would.

Johnny’s admonishments really hit Xander where it hurts, leading him to decide to take the high road where Jack (Matthew Ashford) is concerned and forgo his plan to take over The Spectator. Gwen and Leo were sorely disappointed.

Unaware of the reason for Xander’s about-face, Gwen can only assume that he’s gone off the idea of working in such proximity to a monster like her. Why, oh, why did she have to be so stupid as to tell Xander that she was still in love with him? Good question, agreed Leo.

But no sooner had Xander exited the Salem Inn than he ran smack into Sarah and Rex (Kyle Lowder), fresh off a stock-taking confab (they both enjoyed their night of unbridled passion, and neither one expects it to go any further than that).

Despite herself, Sarah just couldn’t help but rub her roll in the hay with her ex in her other ex’s face. Xander did not thank her for it; Rex found it a bit of a hoot.

As a result, Xander had yet another change of heart — whiplash anyone? — and decided that he and his scheme team should take what was Jack and Jennifer’s (Cady McClain).

Now all that remains to be seen is whether or not the couple is going to play ball. To paraphrase Gwen, is Jack prepared to hand over The Spectator, or will his wife be spending Valentine’s Day in lockup? Jennifer was not pleased.

Johnny DiMera: Innocent Party

Having heard Chanel’s confession to very nearly cheating on Allie with Johhny, Paulina (Jackée Harry) decided to take it upon herself to have it out with her former son-in-law.

Stay away from baby girl, suggested/warned Mama Bear Price. Stop blaming me, roared Johnny. It’s ALEX who’s the problem, not him. He can’t help it that he’s so dang adorable.
