Days of Our Lives Recap Highlights
Most people never know they had a good thing until it’s gone…or lying unconscious at their feet. Sami (Alison Sweeney) didn’t mean to shout an aneurysm loose in John’s (Drake Hogestyn) brain. She just couldn’t fathom the fact that he dared to say she was wrong.
Sami isn’t used to that. What she says goes. What she believes to be facts are facts. In Sami’s world, Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) is an uncouth slut who’s out to steal yet another baby out from under her. (And Nicole will never, never be a Brady. Marriage to Eric (Greg Vaughan) aside, as far as Sami is concerned, Nicole is nothing.)
So it only seemed natural for Sami to take out a restraining order that would prevent Nicole and Eric from taking Allie’s (Lindsay Arnold) infant from the hospital. Why couldn’t John see that she just had the boy’s best interest at heart? Why did he have to blame her for the new fracture in the family?
But she is really, really sorry that John is ailing – though she’d never say that to him if he were awake and able to comprehend. We’re just going to have to chalk this one up to Sami being Sami and pray that John makes a full recovery.

A Battle of Wills
Speaking of recoveries, Ben’s (Robert Scott Wilson) never going to go through one if Vincent (Michael Teh) will insist on breaking and entering and stabbing him with needles full of “psycho juice.”
Ben’s made it very clear that he doesn’t want to kill Ciara (Victoria Konefal) but Eve (Kassie DePaiva) and her lackey don’t care. Plus they have a timetable to keep. The anniversary of Paige’s (True O’Brien) death is upon them and Eve wants to mark the occasion by adding Ben’s wife to his list of victims. Hey, somebody’s gotta replace Will (Chandler Massey).
DAYS Musings
Speaking of Will, did he and Sonny (Freddie Smith) actually think that they could have a civilized, rational discussion with Gabi (Camila Banus) concerning Ariana’s potential relocation with them to Arizona? They’ve met her, right?
Are fans still pro Rope or have the admirers of this coupling decided to cut their losses? If it’s the latter, we can understand. Not everyone can reach the heights of a Jarlena or a Bope.
And speaking of cutting one’s losses, isn’t it about time that Xander (Paul Telfer) made a clean break of it and disentangle himself from all things Kiriakis? Especially now that it seems he will once again play second fiddle to one of Victor’s errant (though far more appreciated) kin? Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC.
