Sami (Alison Sweeny) had a lot of accidents throughout her life. And she named four of them. Will (Chandler Massey) was her favorite. Allie (Lindsay Arnold)…not so much. She’s proven to be a real pain in Sami’s backside. Why won’t that girl just listen to Sami and do exactly as she is told when she is told to do it?

When she insisted that Allie buck up and raise her baby, Sami was certain that Allie would hop right to it. She definitely didn’t expect the young woman to do a runner and leave instructions that the infant should be raised by Auntie Nicole – the one person that Sami hates above all others. And she hates a lot of people.

The Healing Power of Love

Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) still can’t remember exactly what happened to him inside that dingy New York City warehouse but he knows that it was very, very bad. Bad enough that it rendered him unable to make love to Ciara (Victoria Konefal) on their first night together as husband and wife and bad enough that he now has the tiniest inkling that maybe he should maybe strangle his beloved just like he did all those other women.

He tried to get some help from Marlena (Deidre Hall) but Vincent (Michael Teh) managed to swoop in and ensure that he would remain brainwashed. Corporate Battles

It turns out that Jake (Brandon Barash) is good for something other than tuning up motorcycles: schmoozing corporate executives. His brand of off-color (though non-offensive) humor coupled with a healthy appetite for ribs and hard liquor helped seal a very lucrative deal for DiMera Enterprises and it’s going to force Gabi (Camila Banus) to eat those very cruel and disparaging words she hurled at him after that all-important meeting.

Looks like Chad’s (Billy Flynn) going to have to stop underestimating his elder sibling and his former sister-in-law and landlord. If only he had a reliable (and sane) source of information who could assist him with his battle of wits against the witless. Sure, there’s Gwen (Emily O’Brien). But she’s not exactly reliable. Or sane. But she sure can drink. A fact that Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer (Melisa Reeves) can attest to.

DAYS Musings

Ben: “You told me to kill Ciara.” Vincent: “You know, I’m sorry. I find that name just so pretentious. Like, we’re not Midwestern bourgeoisie, we’re Celtic royalty.” Blame it on the fans, Vincent.

Ciara was the name that the majority of them voted for back in December 2006 when NBC issued the directive that they themselves must name Baby Girl Brady and save her from being called Doodlebug for the rest of her life – hey, Bo loved him a nickname.
