Sloan Petersen just will not let up on prosecuting Chanel Dupree on Days of our Lives. After criminal charges were dropped, Sloan filed civil ones.

She is still furious at Chanel (Raven Bowens) for killing her mother in England — and getting away scot-free. Sloan thinks Chanel should pay! And so should Paulina for covering up the crime in the first place. Is Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) justified?

Only 7% believe that Chanel is responsible. She did have an affair with Sloan’s dad. And she did push her mother off a roof. Paulina (Jackée Harry) sprinkled money on the problem and made the criminal charges go away. But she can’t seem to duck the civil charges Sloan insists on filing. Considering that Chanel hasn’t had to pay anything for crimes she actually committed, then yeah, Sloan has the right to be ticked off.

So your mom is dead, 28% shrug. Too bad, so sad. Get over it. We never met your mom, so we have no feelings for you. And, yeah, your dad cheated on her. But she probably deserved it. Let us explain this to you slowly: Chanel has been in Salem longer. Her mother is married to Abe (James Reynolds), whom we love. So we care about Paulina, we care about Chanel, and we don’t care about you. Your anger may be justified. But we’ll never get behind you actually doing anything about it.

Chanel was the victim here, 65% stressed. She was seduced by her professor. So that was on him. And then Sloan’s mother had to audacity to be angry about it and to put herself in the position of being thrown off a roof. How is any of that Chanel’s fault? Sloan should understand that and just move on.
