Salem is awash with people who committed real crimes on purpose with malice in their hearts and weapons in their hands. And they’re walking the streets free and clear. So why should Chanel (Raven Bowens), whose case is more murky and likely accidental, have to be the one who actually serves time, or any penalty at all, 82% of you wonder. Leave her alone! But, sure, go ahead and take the bribe Paulina (Jackée Harry) is so eager to offer. Why let some dirty money go to waste?

DAYS Good Enough
Chanel has paid enough, 11% of the fans insist. She’s spent all those years since accidentally letting her older lover’s wife go over the edge of a roof partying around Europe, spending her mother’s money, marrying a rich man, then hooking up with his twin sister. Isn’t that enough suffering? Plus, she had to spend Thanksgiving in jail, with only everyone she knows being allowed to celebrate with her. That’s cruel and unusual punishment! Honestly, it should all be considered time served.
Fair Play For Chanel Dupree
Only 7% believe Chanel should pay the way anyone else in her position would be made to. Of course, considering that no one in Salem has ever paid for anything — except Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus), she seems to pay for everything, whether she did it or not — then Chanel being treated equally under the law sounds like she won’t be spending too many nights behind bars, either.
