Should Days of our Lives Wipe Ben Weston’s Slate Clean of Killer Past?

Ben Weston has been through quite a few changes already since Days of our Lives viewers met him. First, he was Abigail Deveraux’s perfectly nice boyfriend. Then he was a complete loon who killed with neckties and tried to burn Abigail alive.

Then he was Ciara Brady’s (Victoria Konefal) captor. And now he’s her husband. So who will be the next Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) fans encounter? What over 2,000 had to say:

The Ben Ciara – and we – love today is a result of his past. We watched him go through therapy, we watched him struggle even when Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) tried to turn him back again, and we watched him win every time. That’s why 52% of you want to keep Ben just as he is. A good man who is aware of his terrible past, and continues to struggle to keep the demons at bay in order to remain with the love of his life. We like Ben just the way he is, thank you.

On the other hand, 46% would like it proven that Ben never did any of the terrible things he’s been accused of – and which he confessed to. Maybe, like Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso), all of those were implanted in his mind via a microchip. He just thinks he killed all those people. His DNA is actually pure, so he and Ciara can go on and have that baby she wants so badly.

Crazy Pants

Less than 2% of the audience voted for the return of Crazy Ben. He was more fun that way. You never knew what he was going to do next. And there are several people on the canvas who could stand to be… necktied. Anyone can be a lover. What Salem needs is a killer… story.
