Beloved characters are fleeing Days of our Lives at an alarming rate. It’s a non-stop goodbye tour in Salem! But which exit is really hurting your soul? We’ve got the inside track.
Days of our Lives: Wife and Mother
Oh, Abigail Deveraux DiMera, 68% of the audience is sobbing, you died much too young (though older than the last time you died). You had the love of Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). You had those adorable and low-maintenance moppets, Thomas and Charlotte.
You had money you barely had to work for, a job you could show up to when you felt like it, a frenemy in Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus), a real enemy in Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien), and doting parents who thought everything you did was fabulous. Why go and get murdered?
DOOL: Departing in Cin
Not again, 20% of you sob. It feels like Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) have been apart longer than they’ve been together during their epic romance.
Sure, they’re sailing off into the sunset together this time…but the key here is sailing off. Ciara’s parents, Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and Hope Williams Brady (Kristian Alfonso) did the same thing with little tot Shawn-Douglas Brady, and it was YEARS before we saw them again. This is way too sad.
Days of our Lives: We Hardly Knew You
Only 12% of fans are going to sorely miss Eli Grant (Laman Archey) and Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers), now that she’s off to jail, and he and the babies are moving to be closer to her. But they hardly had a story while they were in Salem.
They were involved in other people’s stories, sure. But even Lani’s maternity and paternity puzzles were more about her than actually featured her. Maybe if we’d spent more time with them, we’d be sadder to be left without them now.
