Eli Grant was shot on Days of our Lives and is now in a coma. Luckily, that’s a pretty common — and minor — condition in Salem. He’ll be up and around in no time, right doctor of all trades, Kayla Brady Johnson?
Days of our Lives Polling
No matter. You’re pretty sure you know what’s about to happen and here’s what almost 2,000 of you had to say about what you would like to see happen next:
All Better
Eli (Lamon Archey) should bounce out of bed good as new, 90% of you insist, without any lasting effects or even a scar to mar the perfection that is his naked chest. He should hop under the sheets with his wife Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers), say “goo-goo-goo-gaa-gaa” to his adorable twins, Jules and Carver — then best father-in-law TR Coates (William Christian). All in a day’s work for Super-Eli!
Days of our Lives: Forget You
Only 8% of the audience is looking forward to the drama that would come out of Eli waking up with no memory of the shooting…or his wife and kids. The best part about amnesia stories is that it gives the couple we love a chance to fall for each other all over again — and prolongs the drama of us knowing that TR is still a bad dude…while nobody else does.
Leg O’Less
We haven’t seen a good, soapy paralysis story in a while, slightly more than 1% of fans suggest. Eli is such a physically fit, active guy that such a handicap would be a huge challenge for him. He could go through the five stages of grief, especially anger, when he shoves his loving wife and other caring relatives away. They’ll reunite in the end, of course, but it will give both something meaty to do in the meantime.
Days of our Lives: See No Evil… Or Good, For That Matter
Even less than 1% are interested in seeing (ha, note what we did there?) Eli go blind. Watching him stumble around and bump into walls isn’t as interesting as amnesia…or revenge.
