Days of our Lives Jake and Ava
Ben Weston thought it made perfect sense that Jake DiMera and Ava Vitale hooked up on Days of our Lives. They’re both single, attractive…and pissed off at their previous significant others. What could make a more solid foundation than that?
So why not? Could this friends-with-benefits relationship turn into something more? What we heard from over 2,000 voters who had very strong opinions on that question:
Jake (Brandon Barash) is still in love with Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus), 43% of the audience insists. They only broke up because of the devil’s machinations, it’s not like they fell out of love. He’ll figure it out sooner or later, and Ava (Tamra Braun) will be left out in the cold. Like she deserves.
Then again, 26% of you think that Jake can do better than Ava…and Gabi. He deserves a woman who isn’t using him or plotting against him. He’s a basically good guy. (So he’s a little mob-connected. Who isn’t?) And he’s been jerked around ever since coming to Salem. Even Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) gave it a shot. The poor guy really just needs to meet somebody…nice. And hold onto it once he has it.
Jake and Ava getting together would annoy so many self-righteous people, 17% of the fans giggle with glee. And that will be so fun to watch. Not just Gabi and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), but the aforementioned Kate, plus maybe Nichole Walker (Arianne Zucker), too. What better reason for embarking on a relationship than that?
And then there’s the last place 14% who actually thinks the two could be, you know, good together. That they could bring out the best in each other, accept each other, and support each other. And gave a great time doing it. But what kind of a reason for embarking on a relationship is that?
