On Days of our Lives, Rafe Hernandez and Nicole Walker have spent the past few weeks telling each other how long they’ve waited to be together, how sorry they are to have waited so long to be together, and how nice it is to finally be together.

But are Rafe (Galen Gering) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) destined to be together for the long haul? After all, they have a few possible roadside bombs just waiting to detonate:

It was a nail-biter, but in the end, 36% of you squeaked out a victory for the assertion that Nicole can never stay with one man for long. She left Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) for Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan). She cheated on Eric with Xander Cook (Paul Telfer). And she is destined to step out on Rafe… especially now that Eric is on his way home. You’d think that Rafe, who had a front seat for all of Nicole’s previous shenanigans would know that by now. And maybe he does.

Right behind that vote tally are the 35% who think Rafe and Nicole could have had a future together… but this is Salem, so no one really does. If cheating doesn’t get them, then the devil will. If we’re facing the end of Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) and Belle Black (Martha Madison) because Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) had the Devil turn her into Belle so she could have sex with Shawn and end up pregnant… does any couple stand a chance?

Then again, a not much smaller 29% of the audience thinks that Rafe and Nicole have finally found the person they were meant to spend their lives with. This is it, this is the happy ending both have been dreaming of. Rafe, Nicole, and Holly will be a family forever! Devil be damned!
