When Tripp Johnson first popped up on Days of our Lives, he hated stepmother Kayla Brady Johnson so much for…well, it was complicated.

Somehow Tripp Dalton Johnson (Lucas Adams) decided Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) was the one most responsible for Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) leaving his mother, which lead to Ava Vitale (Tamara Braun) giving him up for adoption, which led to his adoptive mother dying and his adoptive father being abusive…but, anyway, Tripp was so angry at Kayla that he actually tried to frame her for the death of a patient. And then he almost killed her.

But that’s all water under the bridge now. Tripp loves Kayla, and is even following in her doctor footsteps. He is a romantic hero now! Except he doesn’t seem to be very good at it.

His fiancée slept with her best friend and lied to Tripp about it. Now Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens) are dating. Should this be what drives Tripp back to the dark side? Here’s what almost 2,000 of you had to say about that possibility.

A winning 73% have no interest in seeing Tripp revert to his wicked, wicked ways. You claim that he is a doctor now, and, as such, should know how to handle any emotional issues. Of course, if he can’t…he can always prescribe himself some drugs to help with that.

Days of our Lives: Too Far Gone

As long as Tripp doesn’t go as bad as his evil Mama, 19% of the Days of our Lives audience is OK with his getting a little darker. After all, Allie did treat him terribly, and you wouldn’t mind if he paid her back a bit. Her devilish twin brother, too.

DOOL: Sense and Sensibility

Tripp deserves to cause some trouble, 8% insist. And Allie deserves it not only for this latest heartbreak but also for that whole ‘I accused you of rape but you have no right to be mad at me because, oopsie, I’m just a dumb blonde girl, all my mistakes are adorable’ thing. Yeah, get her for that one, too, Tripp.
