Days of Our Lives Recap: Ciara and Ben’s First Date!!!

The Days of Our Lives recap for Wednesday, December 5 features Ciara and Ben’s first official date, which didn’t exactly go as planned.

Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) was happy with his advance from his new job so he could take Ciara (Victoria Konefal) out for a perfect dinner, but then Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) turned him away from Doug’s Place, horrified that he’s dating her granddaughter.

Soon, Ben met Ciara with flowers outside The Brady Pub and explained why their fancy dinner plans wouldn’t work out. So, they decided to have a picnic with Chinese takeout, which is where Ben told her all about his new position in life.

Ciara was horrified to learn Ben is working for Stefan (Tyler Christopher), especially after everything he did to Abigail (Kate Mansi). Ben had to then remind Ciara everything he did to Abigail, but that was neither here nor there for Ciara. They ended their evening with a kiss.

While the younger couple enjoyed their romance, Salem’s premier pair shared their own version when John (Drake Hogestyn) made sure the pub was available for just he and Marlena (Deidre Hall).

When John couldn’t get music to play, they danced to their song that played in their heads after remembering all the horrible things that just happened.

Rafe (Galen Gering) continued to wonder what the heck was going on with Hope (Kristian Alfonso), and Eli (Lamon Archey) had no problem suggesting Hope might be cheating, so he headed to the Horton Cabin and found an open bottle of wine and a half-eaten fancy meal. Uh-oh.

Of course, Hope was in the cheesy hotel room with Ted (Gilles Marini), horrified that Ben called to cancel their meeting. (She didn’t know it was because he wanted to spend the whole evening with Ciara.)

Ted and Hope grew closer as she told him she already lost one child and refuses to lose another. After Hope opened up about Zach, Ted admitted he also lost a child five years ago.
