Scott Baldwin hasn’t had a lot to celebrate this year on General Hospital, but Kin Shriner, who portrays him, certainly does!
That’s because he was born on December 6, 1953, in New York City, which means he’s turning 65 years old today! This past summer he celebrated 41 years since his premiere as young law school student, Scotty Baldwin on GH.
His pairings with Jacklyn Zeman’s Bobbie and Genie Francis’ Laura — plus his rivalry with Luke (Anthony Geary) placed him on the front burner during those early years.
And when Scotty stopped being a do-gooder and was paired with fellow baddie Heather (Robin Mattson), it seemed like magic happened.
Who would know it would get even better once he was paired with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring). But in later years, we’ve seen a lot less of the shifty lawyer. It seemed when he was made the father of Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth), Scotty would be around more, but hasn’t been the case — even with his new partner in crime, Ava (Maura West).

GH is hardly his only soap experience. He also appeared on Texas, Rituals, As the World Turns, Port Charles, The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Young and the Restless. Shriner also appeared on many primetime shows and played Green Arrow on Justice League Unlimited from 2004-2006.
