No Hope: How Should Days of our Lives Address Her Absence?

So far on Days of our Lives, Hope Williams Brady has missed her daughter’s return from the dead, Ciara Brady Weston’s remarriage to her ex-serial killer husband, Ciara’s demon pregnancy, Hope’s father’s commitment to an old age home, and now the exorcism of Dr. Marlena Evans Black.

When Will Hope Return To Days of our Lives

Is it way past time for the longtime heroine to return? Whether or not actress Kristian Alfonso has any intention of doing so? What almost 3,000 long-time fans would like to see:

New Face of 2022

If Alfonso doesn’t want to come back, then 48% of the audience would be perfectly happy with a recast. Not only was she not the first Hope (she was the third if you don’t count the babies who came before child actress Natasha Ryan), but the viewers have most recently warmed up to the EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk), and Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) recasts. They could handle a Hope one, too. Especially if it brought her home where she belongs.

Pay Up On Days of our Lives

Just give Alfonso whatever money and terms that she’s demanding, 33% of you counter. What’s money, after all? (Especially when it isn’t yours?) Fire some other actors. Or, better yet, the lowest people on the totem pole at the studio. Surely, they don’t need the income as much as Alfonso does. And, certainly, they don’t need it as much as you need to see her back on your screens. Do what you have to. For our sakes.

Stay Put

Then again, 19% are perfectly fine with never seeing Hope again if Alfonso isn’t willing to return. She is irreplaceable. Hope, on the other hand, can hang out in South Africa for as long as she wants. (What is she doing there? We have no clue.) Her children and grandchildren don’t need her. And ex-husband Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) is definitely moving on.
