The long-missing Gabriela Josephina Hernandez, better known as Gabi, finally resurfaces on Days of our Lives. Cherie Jimenez takes over the fiery role of Rafe’s baby sister and Stefan’s beloved wife, a young woman who’d been rotting in prison for a murder she didn’t commit for months. But, thankfully, she’s finally been exonerated and sprung.

Jimenez replaces Camila Banus, who exited the soap last November after 13 years in the front burner role. Albeit a newcomer to daytime, Jimenez has numerous credits, including Pretty Little Liars, NCIS, and The Newsroom.

6. An IMDB search reveals that Jimenez has occasionally been credited as Cherie Daly. It was during a stretch when she opted to use her adoptive father’s surname professionally. However, she has since decided to revert back to her birth name.
