In the DiMera mansion, Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) lost her mind from all the children and noise, and Chad (Billy Flynn) and Thomas’s (Carey Christopher) hide-and-seek game didn’t help, so she left for a night. Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) told Konstantin (John Kapelos) that she’d help him get his visa, and he later put the moves on her. Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel (Raven Bowens) tried to enjoy their honeymoon at the Horton cabin although a storm’s a comin’. Also, Xander (Paul Telfer) still didn’t trust Konstantin, and he told Chad he wanted to do a series in the Invader to help uncover whoever framed him.
Because of Paulina’s radiation treatment, she’s in isolation and Sarah enters in full hazmat gear. She sets up a tablet so Paulina can video chat with Abe Maggie tells Konstantin that she might be able to help him stay in Salem. He insinuates marriage, but she has other ideas. Julie is going nuts because of all the noise in the house and is flustered when Thomas runs by and knocks her wine glass out of her hand by accident. He and Chad are playing hide and seek, and Julie decides to go elsewhere for some peace and quiet. Julie laments not being able to get outside because of the bad weather. Johnny and Chanel enjoy their honeymoon time at the Horton cabin. Johnny suggests they make s’mores, but Chanel doesn’t want to use the dirty sticks he found, instead producing clean skewers. They end up kissing. Paulina can’t stop working remotely from her computer, so Abe goes behind her back and gets her subordinates to pick up the slack, giving her a much needed reprieve. Thomas apologizes to Julie. Chad comes in and also apologizes because they were playing hide and seek. Julie laments not being able to get outside because of the bad weather. Maggie decides to contact her powerful lawyers to have them help with Konstantin’s visa problem. After apologizing to Julie, Chad and Thomas resume their game, but dad tells the boy not to go into any bedrooms. Thomas does anyway, and in Konstantin’s room, he finds the card that was used to control John hidden in a book. Maggie tells Xander how she’s helping Konstantin. Xander hopes he’ll just exit graciously, but Konstantin can’t go home because of the Greek mafia. Xander and Chad discuss Konstantin, then work. He wants to run a story investigating who framed him. Chad encourages Xander to go for it. They plan to attend E.J.’s mysterious press conference. Maggie and Konstantin go to sit outside (with apparently no storm above the Kiriakis mansion). He says that Victor stated Salem inspired him to start a new life. He tells her that Salem is right for him, to her surprise. Chanel is worried about her mother. Johnny thinks Paulina is going to be okay. They start making out on the couch, when Julie enters, surprising them. They end up convincing her to stay because the snowstorm outside is getting worse. Xander and the baby meet Sarah at the pub. He tells her he feels something is more off than usual with Konstantin. Sarah feels that everything has been quiet with Konstantin for months, but Xander worries about the Greek mafia. Maggie doesn’t understand why Konstantin would want to stay in Salem because of the people who can’t stand him, but he argues that life is short. He asks her to dance. Chad finds Thomas in Konstantin’s room and scolds him. The boy denies touching anything, with his fingers crossed (and the card) behind his back.
