Arianne Zucker is suing Days of our Lives for wrongful termination and a host of other charges. While parties don’t often comment on pending litigation, a rep for DAYS shared a statement in response to Zucker’s claims.
Lawsuit ‘Without Merit’
“The allegations in Ms. Zucker’s lawsuit are without merit,” reads the statement. “Corday Productions offered to renew Ms. Zucker’s contract including offering her a pay increase. Rejecting Ms. Zucker’s counteroffer does not constitute retaliation.

“Complaints about Mr. Alarr’s on-set behavior were promptly investigated,” the statement continues. “Corday Productions fully cooperated with the impartial investigation and subsequently terminated Mr. Alarr.” See her lawsuit here.
Backstage Backstory
Last summer, reports surfaced that Alarr was being investigated internally by Sony Pictures Television, which distributes DAYS. (The long-running soap opera, which streams on Peacock, is produced by Corday Productions.) Initially, it was decided that Alarr would continue on in his positions as co-executive producer and director. Later, the show announced that Alarr was exiting the soap opera.
Currently, Arianne Zucker is in a front-burner storyline in which Nicole is unaware not only that her son is alive, but also that his true birth father is Eric (Greg Vaughan), the man who has “adopted” Nicole’s baby. Because Zucker has announced she is no longer with the show, it’s possible that the show’s current baby swap storyline will be wrapped up before the end of the year.
