Alex and Stephanie have come a long way on Days of Our Lives. Their relationship came close to being derailed when Xander mistakenly thought she was having an affair with Philip. However, that was just a smoke screen for Philip’s involvement with the forged letter, and while Xander’s life is taking a tailspin, Alex and Steph couldn’t be better. Robert Scott Wilson recently opened up about working with Stephanie’s real-world alter ego, Abigail Klein, and hinted at things to come.
They’ve Worked Hard
In a discussion with Digital Journal, Wilson talked about the various fan events he’ll be attending in the coming months. He also praised NBC’s Peacock streaming app, explaining that DAYS is, “Surrounded by all great shows, actors, and good company. We are right where we need to be.” He remarked that he hoped the show would last another 60 years.
It’s fair to say that after Alex screwed things up with Stephanie when he shut her phone off in 2023, causing her to miss a call stating that her mom, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), was about to die, the couple didn’t expect to reunite. But they did recently, and Wilson eagerly stated, “It has been fun. I am excited to see how the fans react to it, and everything. We have been working hard.”

He’s Glad They’re Together Again
He also praised Klein for being a wonderful scene partner; their on-screen chemistry is evident. He explained, “Working with Abigail Klein is the best; she is my partner in crime, here,” and added, “It is nice to be back together.” What makes the Alex and Stephanie relationship work this time around is their honesty. She fessed up to him about the forged letter, but swore him to secrecy so that Xander (Paul Telfer) wouldn’t kill Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier).
Referring to Klein as a “sweetheart,” he gladly remarked that Stephanie “Might be Alex’s one true pairing, so it’s a pleasure to work with her again.” It’s nice to see these two in a healthy relationship, and we’re excited to see what challenges the couple will face.
